A pointless exercise but as the saying goes, "whatever floats your boat".
My personal opinion is that like Friedcat, Satoshi is most likely dead.

Satoshi is most likely dead.

Or never existed in the first place.

You know, anyone can input a publicly known -- valid -- Bitcoin address into ckpool, including the Genesis address, and see the same results you're talking about. That doesn't mean the actual owner is active. These addresses are public for a reason, and pools like Solo CKPool simply show stats for any address you enter.

What you're seeing isn't evidence of Satoshi being involved. It could be you, me, or anyone else with some free time. If we're talking about actual proof of Satoshi's activity, you'd need something much stronger -- like a recent cryptographic signature from one of his known addresses, or coins actually being moved from one of those early addresses.

Even then, it wouldn't be bulletproof. After all this time, it's entirely possible that someone else could have gained access to those keys. Ironically, it is hard for Satoshi himself to prove he is indeed Satoshi now.

very true it would be hard for Satoshi himself to prove that he is who he is if say he lost his logins and keys etc or is sitting on them for possibly 2-3 generations of his family who might be tight lipped perhaps? cause nobody would believe "my grandfather is satoshi" unless you stole his keys yadi yah

How can we say anyone is dead until and unless we don't know it.
I think he is living anonymous life he and his team is working on something which will create a new kind of era or solve some kind of world problem, which again the govts won't find intresting.

Or we are all Satoshi.

Per the original post here, all of us can "be Satoshi" and mine to those addresses on CK Pool.

In fact, it would be the most egalitarian thing to do, as any coins mined would be effectively a donation to all of us
