The molestation charges are recent right from one of the woman who has connections with the underworld, that is what i read from the news and now the expensive watches. I do not think the BCCI will intervene in situation like these. When Sachin Tendulkar faced the same issue in the past for getting a car home which was gifted to him, he was asked to pay the prize of the car as tax because the import tax is 100% and the government gave him the concession because it was a gift for his performance and i do not remember BCCI intervene in that situation.

This is also personal problems and if anyone is to pay the tax for the items, BCCI will not intervene and what is the reputation when the news is already public, does not make any sense.

But in India, he can just pay a financial penalty and escape any other form of punishment. The rape allegation is much more serious. Now I just hope that it was just a baseless allegation and the investigators would declare him as not guilty.

The media will hype the case and once it is resolved they will not apologize for that nor they will update the narrative, it is a common them globally. May be they have declared the value and paid the tax, it is not a criminal issues if they are willing to pay tax and not smuggle things.

Regarding the rape allegation, i know one lady accused several high profile people from politicians to cricket players about raping her, it is possible that it could be a blackmailing strategy as well to settle money outside court.

Still I am not sure whether the allegation is 100% true. If that is the case, he should be given the strictest punishment possible. But the cautious attitude from him in smuggling the luxury watches surprised me. Krunal Pandya (his brother) was booked for the same offense three days before Hardik was caught and yet he had the courage to repeat the offense. BTW, Hardik was not retained by the Mumbai Indians for the next IPL. I guess he may be playing for the Ahmedabad franchise in 2022.

I am yet to read about the case and i am not sure whey there were no active action against him about her complaint in 2017, even during the Me Too movement this should have come to light and that did not happen and now the Woke movement is active and they are looking to cancel each and everyone and they might have digged the history and Australia is also riding that wave. Age cannot be a factor here and I am happy at least now that woman got some relief but not sure what kind of compensation will be the right one for someone who quit their job after harassment. In this imbalanced world, even late justice are somehow cure pain after lots of struggle and sacrifices. Yup you can simply block a person if you don't like her/his texts very simple. But there are series of messages from Tim to that female which means she is replying to his message and has interest. I dont think it will br as easy to make a come back for tim paine as it was steve smith. The first main thing is the age factor steve smith was pretty young but tim paine is not and steve smith and david warner were thr best to batters of the australian team so there was non chance that they get ignored but for tim paine i find it very difficult to make a comeback in the side.

I still feel bad about what Smith underwent. He lost one year of his international career, when his form was at the peak (Warner as well). But what Smith did was something that a lot of people do. Instead of using saliva or sweat, he used sandpaper. The case with Tim Paine is entirely different. The ICC or Cricket Australia has nothing to do with this topic. It is his personal issue and he needs to deal with it. Having an affair outside marriage is not breaking any of the ICC rules, as far as I know.
