I only get 101 H/S on (stock bios) hd 7970 (r9 280x equilavent?) on claymore v.8. Is that normal or should i be getting more? My ram is ddr3 16gb, my cpu i7-4790 and i´m not using risers. Huh

I get more than that on a r9 280 (non x version)

RX 470 4GB - 170ish h/s (bounces around this figure on -i6) stock settings

what drivers do you use? mine is 16.10.2

I'm using the 15.12 version of the drivers.  Using v.7 I was getting about 160h/s using -1 4

I'm using the 16.11 version of the drivers using v.8 claymore... getting about 170h/s rx 470 4gb sapphire

Whoopps should possibly clarify.

The drivers response was with regards to the 280 card.

Getting 170 on 470 4GB Sapphire with 16.3 drivers

With it being this time of year does that mean chestnuts roasting on a open miner?

heat in version 7 and version 8 is almost very the same..so the power is almost the same with version 7 i suppose.

LTC is a real power hog it maxes out the GPU max power draw, it is hotter also..ZEC is still cooler than ETH/ETC.

280x   ~210 H/s
480     ~210 H/s
390     ~290 H/s
290x    ~277 H/s
fury     ~285 H/s

210 H/s is amazing for a 480!  Can you let us know your config? I've got 6 8GB ref 480s in a rig but can't get over 180 or so.  Is the vbios stock?  thanks!

stock bios

core 1380, 2200 memory

maybe the samsung rams of this HIS rx 480 roaring oc helped, it can do 1400 core but i'll play it safe for stability.

Thanks! I'll give those clocks a try.  Are you using -i 4?

If i overclock the my rx 480's it run but only for 30 seconds on the wall the power say 920watts rolling on my rm 1000x
If i put the clock down i get 750 watts on the wall and it is stable and still mining
On v7.0 i had with the down clocks 745 watts and with the up clock 916 watts
Why are my rig now crashing with the up clock its only +- 4 watts more than before.
I  have gived a try from -i 0 till 5 on all clocks with v8.0 but the same isue

Is it maybe the power box rm 1000x thats on his limit and is that the reason why i now  get thread stuck in device with v8.0?

Someone how can confirm this to me?

Fixed issue with "-mport" option (read-only mode). Please re-download v8.0.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

v8 Seems to have dropped performance from 135h/s using v7 on a 7970 to 2-3h/s.

v8.0:

- improved speed by about 15-25% (depends on card model). Up to 300H/s on stock 390X.
- added "-i 5" and "-i 6" values, 1-2% speedup, but can be unstable in some cases.
- now remote management is working in read-only mode by default.
- some bug fixes and minor improvements.

Working like a charm, thank you. Some big windows miner farms are going to be very happy!
