I have 2 1070 msi armor and using core clock +120 and mem +600 and its stable and nice for me)

Fan is set at 45% and is quiet enough to have right next to you, but anything higher than that is annoying to me personally
You should be able to get ~3.4 sol/W with those settings and even higher if you keep dropping power limit in MSI afterburner.

If you want to do it at the command line you can by using the following command:

So what  would be the 1060  6 GB (samsung) afterburner settings? (Nvidia driver = 382.05)
I currently get on average 280 sol
Power Limit 75%,
Core clock and mem clock 0 (1771/3802)  
and fan = 47%. GPU is 66C.  Have not connected Watt meter yet.

I love how silent the GPus  are compared to mining when I mined in 2014! Bought an aftermarket cooler, but I dont think I need it

Hi all:
   Miner up and going. ASUS H270 16G (2) EVGA 1060 GTX  for now. New MB and risers inbound.  600S but varies some. Was doing ETH but could never get a wallet setup to use. So gave up and came here to flypool and Zcash for starters.
   Since I am fresh install and run, what would be a fair interval to seeing my first payout? Want to make sure the wallet is right.

Oh and by the way, EWBF 3.2 running and THANK YOU!

Flypool should have a section that explains how they do there payouts. I personally mine at other pools so I'm not sure how they handle payouts. Some pools do not do any payouts for the first 24 hours, some have an amount of coin(s) that you need to mine before they payout, and some don't payout automatically unless you first set it up in your account settings.

For a first time miner it might be worth it for you to use Nicehash.com, they make it quite easy to get started and learn the ropes etc.... then if you wish to switch in a couple of weeks you can. They only pay in Bitcoin, so you wouldn't be able to get other altcoins that way.

Since I completed my rig, I have 4x gtx 1070 and 2x gtx 1080, the miner became too unstable. I get error code 77 and then 46. I'm mining lbry very profitably right now so not sure if I'll go back.

so I switched from wifi to lan and got quite a huge improvement in sols... ~450sols/115w @ 75% PL, +600 mem, +150 core.

when you guys remote into your rig, do you see any drop in sols?

I only remote into the rigs if i want to check on them, or if something is going wrong.  Most cases I also restart the rig after I am complete.  I don't leave the session open for no reason.  When connected I do normally see a power / sols drop slightly on one of the cards.

Wifi is definitely no-go for more than one card.
Regarding remoting, forget about RDC and Teamviewer, use VNC protocol (TightVNC for example), no issues on my side.

i wonder what the difference (performance-wise with EWBF's miner) between the 3GB and 6GB gtx 1060 are as I am currently under the impression that its rather minimal (~ 7%) while the typical price difference where I live is around 14-16% (for an EVGA 1060 FTW+)? Is this correct?

AFAIK the number of cuda-cores and TMU's differs among the 3 and 6 GB version of the gtx 1060; 1152 cuda-cores on the 3 gb version and 1280 on the 6 gb version (which makes around 11% more cuda-cores which also is reflected in the nominal GFLOPS-values specified as 4762 VS 4285 GFLOPS). But I have no idea how this affects the power-draw of each card as both seem to be rated with the same TDP. The latter is probably hard to answer as many manufacturer have different TDP's for the same chip (different binning?)... maybe has been able to directly compare the 3 and 6 GB version of one manufacturer?

TDP is the maximum power that the card can draw and successfully dissipate the excess heat under normal conditions.  You will find that the cards with higher TDP ratings will have larger fans / heat sinks to remove the heat from the cpu / memory.  They usually have a requirement for additional power connectors over the lower TDP cards to add additional phases to the power delivery system.  The more stable the delivery of power, the better the cards will normally handle an overclock.

I felt like this miner needs some more work, I saw the other guy mining with a rx 480, a bit modded and claymore miner and he got around 350~. While I'm barely getting around 340 on 1060 6gb OC'd.
