Announcement on immediate fix of the “DoS vulnerability” identified on NEO blockchain

A DoS (Denial-of-Service) vulnerability, as pointed out in a blog posted by Zhiniang Peng from Qihoo 360 core security, was identified on NEO Smart Economy platform on Aug 15.The team e-mailed a detailed report to NEO as soon the vulnerability was identified and tested. It only took Erik Zhang, NEO founder, 7 minutes to test and confirm the vulnerability and 56 minutes to release a bug fix, eliminating the possibility of the bug being exploited by attackers. Hi! Does anyone translate NEO manuals into Russian? I know about English, Spanish versions etc. but don`t see any Russian or Ukrainian (yes, I`m from Ukraine)? For example, NEM actively establishes a network of representative offices, some sort (local communities). A few months ago NEM community open office in Ukraine for searching new developers, teach programmers how to work with their blockchain and translate manuals (bounty). It`s was quite effective. They don`t have competitions and easily get new opportunities. Even testing for government ukrainian voting system with their blockchain. So, does NEO project planning something similar for scaling network in CIS region? At least translate NEO manuals into Russian/Ukrainian for the bounty? My opinion is that NEO has more opportunities than NEM in the local market.

Is there a problem with the NEO-GUI wallet v2.7.6, for me it has got stuck on block 2623809.

The 'Chain' and 'Index' folders are updating but the block number and 'Transaction History' are not; Transaction History is stuck at '09/08/2018 02:30:03'.

NEO network working well now. If anyone has syncing problem(stuck with 2623809), please delete old blockchain data and download latest offline blockchain data package(https://neo.org/client/chain.zip) (MD5 of this chain.zip is 06ea9760c317b3693c758bbc07b0ad96). Resync the blockchain will solve this problem. Also, 2 things have been done to make syncing data more easily.
1. NGD run 10 new seed nodes which have been synced to the latest height to help community node maintainers to connect with.

Thanks, this fixed the 'stuck at block 2623809' problem. It seems like every now and again the NEO-GUI wallet needs a kick in the butt to get it restarted
