How did it fail? Can you be more specific? Is there any error message?
And no, there are no minimum requirements. I have heard people mining on old machines. It would be interesting to find out what oldest machine found a block.

Old machine is a PC right? not a rig miner?
I got Intel core i3 with 4gb ram, intel hd 3000.Os old win 7
So I edit new wallet bat file.run it but the cmd screen appear only 1 sec. and there is no new file. this kind of stuff is new for me.sorry if this question is bother you.

One of my machine is i3 and it is still finding block or two every day.

It has been a while since I created a wallet file, but you should first run new-wallet.bat and then it should generate two new files, one that ends with .wallet and one with .wallet.address. Only then you edit wallet.bat file. There is a win-start-readme.txt instruction file that explains it in more detail.

I wouldn't trust a link to a wallet that doesn't come from the Ann author.

For me, the command line wallet works so well, that I really don't need GUI wallet at all.

Well, this coin still has a low difficulty and can be solo mined, so you could say these are free coins.

Guess I answered my own question by looking on discord.  Looks like there is a new release and it has to be downloaded and replace the old files to work.  I guess this part of the thread not being updated like it used to be.

edit:  or ... maybe it was just time to delete the roaming appdata stuff... again and again :/

ya you need to update on new release and then sync it , if this will not go well delete data folder and resync it ,

Just closed my deamon with the "exit" fonction to save the progress.
But now the deamon doesn't want to restart, it stuck on " the deamon will start synchronizing with the network (...) otherwise the current progress won't be saved "

you can always go to your appdata folder and delete all that stuff and just re-run the soldd executable and wallet after it re-syncs.   appdata directory should be something like C:\Users\<user_name_goes_here>\AppData\Roaming\sld

It's weird... I noticed a lot more files in their before I deleted everything and re-sync'd.  There were like 5 or 6 files but now there are just 3.  But it all seems to work!
