In regards to the product name.

What if we named the product "The Active Miner" made by VMC.

Then the mining operation being called "Active Mining" makes more sense and conveys the ties the two companies have to each other.

I like it , although 'Active Miner' is shorter thus better Smiley

+1 for "ActiveMiner" and +1 for a site re-design. If it isn't a priority it should be.

To be fair, the NRE has been raised - additional sales are more a distraction than anything else - I know that sounds silly, but the profit is in the mining.

I disagree, I see the profit in hardware sales.

There's potential profit dripping from every facet of this venture, all of which need attention.

I also echo the desire to have some website/product name changes. I see the HashFast/Fast-Hash thing as a potential time sink, especially if any lawyers have to get involved. I'm not sure that's where resources should be allocated.

I recall someone saying they were making changes to the website/logo - what's the status of that?

EDIT - it was hazryder who was talking of VMC website/logo work

To be honest I don't really understand why there isn't a quick update about the state of conversion from BTC to USD.

Also +3 for the new board.

Here is a post from the overview and speculation thread that may help you.

Ken got his hand slapped (his words) for saying too much before.

At this point he has to be on radio silence until it's all done and dusted. Saying anything in public adds an unnecessary element of risk to the deal.

For example, if he said he had all the money then the next questions will flood in, about if something is wrong, if eASIC have been paid at all, what the contract situ is, people will phone eASIC so find out if they've been paid, etc. All this is potentially damaging, particularly random people contacting eASIC (which has happened before, hence the hand slap). If he hasn't converted all the money, much of the same applies along with extra questions.

I hope that explains it a little. It's a sensitive time for the business and unfortunately we just have to wait. Of course, the plan been to get the Avalon chips during this period but we all know what's happening there. Or don't know.

Profit is in the sale of chips, sale of miners, mining, and merchandise so don't you EVER forget it.

The Advisory Board

Vbs (Electrical/Electronic Engineering; IT)
ArcticWolf (Telecommunications Management, Electronics)
lewicki (Software Engineer, Web Developer)
lolstate (Entrepreneur; IT consultant)
ffssixtynine (Software developer; Business owner)
Streets 2.0 (Server Infrastructure; Public Relations)

That is some board. Seriously, everyone of these guys is really clever and in terms of company direction this means we cannot go wrong.

Whatever may befall us in terms of outside events beyond our control, we can rest assured the internal decisions and direction will be well thought out, strategic, and will be in our very best interests.

Whatever you think of the original IPO launch you can't say Ken didn't listen and learn in double time. You can't say he didn't turn this ship around in an instant and give the shareholders a much better deal and follow through with a successful IPO. You can't say he hasn't chosen one of the best partners anyone could hope for with eASIC. Ken got us here and I'm sure with these guys assistance we are really going all the way with this one. Gentlemen - hang on to your hats.

Edit: my only concern is our software developer is a Muppet?

You only think he's a muppet because he recently pointed out that you were talking crap about Mt Gox. That doesn't make him a muppet, that just shows that you're a petulant know-it-all.

Well this is fun. I was about to buy tickets for the One Direction movie, but I think I'll hang around here in case I miss something.
