Around the time this happened I believe Betcoin asked everyone to change the PW...so it was probably a stolen case rather than a selling case...but cannot know for sure. Can anything else be done to find out what really happened since Betcoin is not commenting on it?

I'm not saying it's a SITE WIDE CONSPIRACY! I'm saying maybe a member of the support staff tried to get a little extra money on the side and sold a database the she (or he) thought was filled with benign information. And then higher ups later found out about it and tried to mitigate the damage by encouraging everyone to reset their passwords while quietly phasing this support woman (or man) out of her position. All the while not saying anything else to try to prevent backlash. Obviously this is a pure guess because Betcoin refuses to let it's players know how much of their private information was compromised, and how that information was compromised. I mean, it's not like there has been any support woman (or man) who was very active on the forums and on the site and then since this incident has been oddly silent everywhere, so I'm sure I'm waaaaaaaay off. Right?

Nothing at all to back this up either but I think Darkdays theory is most likely to be true. Rogue employee/former employee/friend of employee seems very possible.

But make no mistake: your personal information that you gave to Betcoin was stolen or sold by/to people who are using it to try to steal your coins.
Don't know what kind of personal informations you were asked and provided Betcoin when you first registered but mine are only a username a password and an email address (and of course a couple of btc addresses for deposit and withdrawal purposes ..if you classify these as personal informations).

Most people would consider having their email address and PASSWORD compromised to be a pretty large breach of their personal security. The problem is, since we don't know what information has been stolen/sold, we don't know what other information has been compromised. Account balances? Personal wallet addresses? Private keys? What do you think would happen if these people stole/were sold the private keys to the wallets that Betcoin keeps their coins in? Do you think Betcoin would refund this money (which is the player's money)? Don't you think this is important, personal information to know?

Poker Disconnection and DowntimePersistent DDoS attack has caused disconnections and host has temporarily blocked traffic as it has slowed the network.A heavy and persistent DDoS attack has caused service interruptions across our entire host and the host has temporarily blocked traffic to the poker server. We are told this block will be lifted in a few hours and more extensive DDoS protection will be added. We apologize for the inconvenience and will certainly keep you updated.

Major problem with this site. Bet on a live soccer match (bet was for over 5 goals. game was in 72nd minute. game ended up with 6 goals) Attempted to place the bet 5 times, and funds were taken from my account. (Funds for only 1 bet were taken). As you can see in my list of transactions below, 4 of them were marked "canceled" and the other was marked "pending". All bets that are in process are marked "pending". So, I figure this bet is good....right? Wrong. Betcoin now claims that this got "stuck in the system" and my funds will be returned shortly. That's convenient, considering the bet won. See the 3rd line item from the bottom below. Bet shows as pending, whereas the other 4 show as canceled. So, as the paying customer, I get screwed because of a glitch in the system? How is that fair? http://imgur.com/lTyVHjZ

All poker systems are back up and running and we are monitoring it very closely. The host completely blocking all traffic to the server is what caused the ultimate problem and we are implementing some new DDoS protection features as well as weighing a variety of options. We appreciate your support and we will continue to work very hard to provide an exceptional place for you to play.

I'm pretty frustrated by Betcoin right now. I deposited yesterday, and then when I was transferring my deposit from my main balance to my poker balance, the site ate my chips. I was told that it would take 10-15 min to straighten out by Betcoin Maria, and then an hour later I was told it would take an additional 1 hour for a supervisor to get online and fix it by Betcoin Aiden, and 24 hours later I just had this idiotic exchange with Betcoin Maria, in which she states that she has no information and no ability to help me. Betcoin customer service is a joke. marlais Hi, I am still missing chips from my balance from a deposit made yesterday. I was told that it would only take an hour for a supervisor to look at it, but it's been close to a day and I haven't heard back. Could you please let me know where this issue stands? Chat started Please wait for an agent. There are currently 5 visitor(s) waiting to be served. Betcoin Maria joined the chat Betcoin Maria Do you have a ticket opened on this? marlais yes it is #46690 Betcoin Maria It will be answered soon marlais I was told almost a day ago by you that it would take 10-15 min to straighten out. What's the holdup? Betcoin Maria I have no information marlais Can you connect me with a supervisor? Betcoin Maria They are not available in chat now. You can leave a ticket for them marlais I did that yesterday, and was told to expect a reply within 1 hour by Betcoin Aiden. Do you have an estimate of when they will get back to me? Betcoin Maria No, sorry Tickets may take up to 48 hours to be replied to, depending on the issue marlais I am pretty frustrated that I am getting the runaround from Betcoin support. Betcoin Maria I am sorry bout this marlais I just want my deposit back. I have no interest in playing on this site anymore. How do I leave a ticket for a supervisor? Betcoin Maria https://www.betcoin.ag/node/add/ticketmarlais This looks like the regular ticket form. Is it any different? Betcoin Maria No, regular ticket marlais OK, it seems that you cannot help me or direct me to someone who can. I am unsure why you are answering support questions, since you have no information. Betcoin Maria Supervisors review tickets If you leave one, it will be answered marlais OK, thanks Betcoin Maria You are welcome anytime. Chat rated Bad Chat ended

I received the phishing e-mail also. Hey, it looks like somebody took advantage of your faux e-mail security hashes. I hate to say I told you so, but here's where I predicted this: https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=386266.msg13896920#msg13896920Secondly, when you have a system in place to verify e-mail authenticity, it is insanity to include a URL to the verification location in the same e-mail. This is just asking for someone to spoof your e-mails and training your users to blindly click on unverified e-mail links.
I also just noticed that the last three e-mails that you have sent me have identical e-mail security code hashes. Why make it so easy for someone to circumvent your security system? This was the phishing e-mail that I received. The link redirects you to the following URL, which I have broken so that people can't click on it. http://edit-password.betcoin.ag.fdbgroup. su/?token=YldGeWJHRnBjMEJ0WVdsc0xtTnZiUT0xxx Subject: Update your password and get 50 chips From: Betcoin < support@betcoin.ag> To: marlais < my Betcoin e-mail address> Date: Mar 21, 2016 11:43:01 AM marlais, A request has been made to update the password to your Betcoin account.
