Finally, I have my new card set up. What a ball ache this was! Does anyone has any tips on closing down cminer using the 'Q' button - Everytime I do this my computer crashes. If I close it down with the 'X' it's fine. Can anyone shed any light on this for me Cheers very much This is a common issue on the R9 290/290X. It's been fixed in the latest version of sgminer, which is a cgminer fork. https://github.com/veox/sgminer

cgminer's windows version has other bugs as well.. apparently it doesn't clean up properly when quitting it, try starting and stopping it couple of times and then your hashrate drops to about 10% of the max, only rebooting or disabling/enabling the video card from device manager helps at that point.

I've been having the exact some problem. I usually just sign out and sign back in to make the issue go away. But temporarily disabling the graphics card from the device manager seems like a better option. Hadn't thought about that yet

If you have multiple cards, make sure you disable the one your monitor is connected to last, otherwise you will get no signal to monitor, and you need to operate in the dark. If you make that mistake though, then keyboard shortcuts you need to know are: SHIFT-F10 (to bring up the pop-up menu), E (to enable the device).

Thanks, that explains why when my miner restarts (via CGWatcher) after I while Windows gives me a low memory warning.

Now that we've been added 2 different exchanges as an ICN/BTC pair, we think it's time to get us an ICN/LTC pair on a separate exchange service! Why LTC you might ask? It's important that we give the community the option to buy/sell iCoins with the most used cryptocurrencies today. I think it goes without saying that LTC is one of the more commonly used coins that people trade with SWISSCEX seems like a promising and reliable exchange to us: https://www.swisscex.com/So let's let these guys know that we would like to see an ICN/LTC pair on their exchange! https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=443205

I don't get why there is a need to trade vs LTC.

Personally I don't either, but the the coins has only just been born so this will help raise it's profile and get it out there a little bit more.

Mainly to open the market to other buyers that hold LTC, also it will be a good point of reference to see how well iCoin is doing. First you have to take silver before you can take gold , we are aiming that high but will take time like with all good things.

But people can always trade LTC for BTC and then trade away on BTC market. Wanting to trade against LTC is like acknowledging we are the little brother of LTC if you know what I mean.

Have to develop solid relationships and expand through whatever networks possible, then upon receiving offers from multiple larger exchanges, we can be picky about how we conduct our trade pairs and form a better strategy. But I agree, BTC and LTC are both worthwhile counterparts for a pair.

Another good exchange to get the attention of may be http://www.allcrypt.com/ who currently has voting in place at http://www.allcrypt.com/beta/voting.php. Realistically we could take over the voting polls relatively easily. I'm donating .05 BTC to the ICN wallet address to boost our ratings, and then aside from that every single person who votes will get 10 votes per day! Great way to gain exposure and be one of the first currencies listed on a professional emerging exchange IMO
