saltybrains, sadly, there will be nothing one can do. And trust me, if this happened, dev has nothing to do with it. network is secured by 500mhash. And dev cannot undo a transaction no matter what.
thats fairenough, iv resolved to that end myself anyway. But in the name of learning more, i'd like to still figure out what went wrong or something, wether or not i get any coins back. after all that : i still believe Cash Coin has a strong future! So im still in - GIMME THE CAAAASHHH!

Has the chain been hijacked that it shows no traces whatsoever of the transaction for those 6000 coins? That's scary...

Maybe we could try to contact https://www.atomic-trade.com/ seems to be a decent site, never used it tho. So we can get a better exchange for this coin.

Wallet update coming shortly will include check pointing server which will eliminate the current and future checkpoint error. Checkpoint errors will not affect anything they are typical for a Proof of Stake coin. We will also be adding coin control. More to come about that later. It will add these features: - Send specific Unspent Outputs
- Control over your anonymity.
- Control over your Coin Age.
- Maximize your Proof of Stake rewards.
- Choose the Change Address yourself.
- Know the Transaction Fees associated with your transaction before attempting to send it.
- See the Transaction Priority of your transaction.
I can not get the Linux client to work at all. Please, fix it. A logo is priority as well. really? i compile it just like the other linux clients, but you have to create the 'obj' folder (do "mkdir obj" inside the src/ folder right before executing "make -f makefile.unix") and it runs fine for me. OK I made an obj directory inside the src, run qmake in the main folder, then cd to src, then run "make -f makefile.unix and I am gettting: db.h:14:20: fatal error: db_cxx.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated. make: *** [obj/checkpoints.o] Error 1

i think your just missing a required lib (which a lot of alt-coins use these libs). try doing; sudo apt-get update (to ensure your records are up to date) then install all the required packages; sudo apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev libdb5.1++-dev libboost-all-dev libqrencode-dev libminiupnpc-dev (this is the same for DOGE and other alt's too) ensure you do "mkdir obj" inside the src folder ("pwd" to check your current working directory). then; make -f makefile.unix should work on Ubuntu latest server edition, i installed 10 wallets just a few days ago and i think thats all i did.

The checkpoint warnings are nothing to worry about. I have spoken to the developer and he is planning an update. He just had a few questions to clear up first about coin control
update not out yet? so can I still send coins to someone else or does this blockchain issue have to be resolved first? EDIT: I test-sent 0.0011 to freshmarket. It's deducted from balance but not confirming. I did get an messagewindow telling coins weren't sent.

ah bummer! there is no blockchain explorer by address for this coin yet. I hope dev will look into setting up a better block explorer. The current one looks weird and old designed. But about your problem, its unbelieveable for any coins to disappear from blockchain, and wallet like that.
damn, i thought i was using the explorer wrong cause i couldn't gleam anything from it so im not alone in thinking that (phew!) thanks a lot for looking at it! i have no idea what it is, but no mistaking it for me that there are thousands gone without a doubt, i checked it every day and it was climbing nicely... even when i had seen the 0.0006xx price on openex exchange i checked balances and made some quick calculations as to its btc value @ that rate ... had converstaions about it with my mates ... also the clincher, we were operating multiple accounts inside the wallet so a friend was also mining into it, who had a couple K now gone... so my few thousand plus his would be around 5k to 6k missing definitely. absolutely no transactions outgoing listed. all the transactions it knows about add up to the current incorrect balance so i cant even find any evidence at all that it HAD a balance! lol. what i am doing now in a weird desperate hope (hey ho its gone! but ill play for just geekyness anyway) is looking at the pywallet.py source to see if it can be twisted to gleam info from a cashcoin wallet instead of bitcoin/litecoin/namecoin ... if it can, there may be hope ... but i really dont know enough about how the coin works to do it but its a learning experience so... might leave knowing more than i did coming in, so atleast i win something! What's your receive address?
