People say altcoins won't survive

I think that for some parts of the coins there will be an application.

In my opinion, in the real point of view, perhaps we can agree with the end of the Altokemins because of the excacez resource, but the big problem is the lack of financial support for the great institutions. I think it's too much if Altcoin won't last long. Indeed there are Coins in ALtcoin that cannot last long, but there are still many good and potential coins in ALtcoin that will last a long time and will become the favorite coins of the future such as Ethereum, Ripple, XRP, EOS, NEO, Litecoin and many more coins good at Altcoin.

BTC chain dont have most of functions which realized in altcoins, even simple smart contracts

Of course not, alt coins are definitely here to stay and it will survive for a long time. The strength of an alt coin depend on its demand level whether the coin offers great products and unique services.

Indeed, a lot of altcoins will be of no use to anyone and will not survive. This will be a coins of fraudulent icos, weak projects without a product, or no longer relevant and no one needs projects of which there were a lot. But in this market now there are not a few strong and promising projects with a good idea, very interesting and attractive products; we see that at the whole crypto market is not a simple times now - only the strongest will survive. But I believe that the blockchain technologies is the future and in this market a giants of different industries and businesses will appear in their time.
