the reason why ETH pump was huge back in 2017 was due to the surge of ICO scams. we were having at least one per day at some point and some days even a couple of them in one day. and to invest in them you had to buy ETH and that pumped the price more than normal.

Nah i doubt it. Or it's more likely that eth will stay under 200 for majority of this year. I'd be surprised if it even breaks the 200usd level. Though i'm not too worried because ether is an established coin with solid following. The rise of it may not be that quick but i believe it'll peak in a few years breaking previous aths.
