I'm on a road trip today, but brought my ouzo (Ouzo 12) for tonight.

Take care! Ouzo 12 is great, like most of our Ouzos.

On a short note, I just observed we reached the 100th page room inside our shelter... isn't that impressive?

I don't know. But if I don't do it and it turns out it was necessary after all, I'm too late by the time I find out. This just gives me more peace of mind, and I don't really see a reason why not to do this: it's only one tickbox during installation, nothing else changes and I need to type a password to login anyway. I don't think my spare laptop gets slower from an additional layer of encryption, as it has multiple CPU cores and I barely use one of them. So it's really a no-brainer to also encrypt the home directory.

I am genuinely asking because I 'm considering following your approach as well.

Ask yourself this: if someone gets their hands on your spare laptop during a trip, would you want 1 or 2 layers of encryption?

A keyboard I don't like typing on my phone, and I do trust my laptop a lot more than my phone. I don't use much more than just a browser though, or maybe watch a movie.

Is it Linux? If so, then yeah the encryption is faster. Internally Windows uses the same algorithms for encrypting the OS (using Bitlocker), but traversing the FS is slower on Windows and hence, the lag occurs mostly on Windows machines. But Windows are generally heavier than Unix based systems.

Ideally 10, but I suppose that it will be too late anyways if this happens. Not too late for my data, but too late for our happy voyage.

Yeah I am an extremely slow typer on a phone. And the truth is, I am not the classic old guy who doesn't get along with technology. (No age shaming of course, being old is not bad, or at least that's what I like saying to help me feel better)

You 've no idea what memories you 've brought to my mind. Being young, drinking rakomelo with a bunch of friends in the historical center of Athens, chatting with random people, spending time trying to solve unsolvable things.

Rakomelo has been a major catalyst in my life. It's shaped some of my best memories.

Anyway, what about greekflavours[dot]com and greek-e-foodmarket[dot]com? Do they send the Netherlands?

Edit: I hadn't noticed how long ago BHC was last active. It's been too long, hope he's just taking a long break.

It can cause some small headaches, but it's certainly great. You know it's not like Ouzo though. It's not to be blended with icecubes. It must be straight, preferrably in small glass. And, it's even better if you drink it warm, like gluchwein for example. (I hope I don't butcher the name)

I read that: warm in winter, cold in summer. But I don't like ice in my ouzo either: I read that's how you're supposed to drink it, but depending on my mood I cool the bottle to +5 or -18 degrees. Around -25 ouzo becomes "slush".

In Greece, the variations that I 've seen are:
1. Put the bottle in the freeze and then drink without any additions.
2. Put ice in it. Usually that's what we do in the taverna [1]
3. Put some juice in it. Usually they put sour cherry juice.

I think the actual order was that he left (as you said above), then he came back and joined the club, then he left the club and then he left again without a sign.
