For me it depends on reward, about what the whole projects is, how the project is going to handle some problems in future (AML policy). Always only go for legit ones if you want to do KYC!

I think KYC system is destroying the base, the foundation of cryptocurrency – it's anonymity. I don't really like it.

if you know that the airdrop/ project is scam why risk to give your personal details on them.. mostly airdrop now are useless but there are still few that are valuable..

Most project compulsory kyc after hunters are done hunting for them, I guess this are now new ways of not paying hunters or probably a method of saving 50% allocation of the airdrop campaign because most hunters won't do the kyc and the little that we finally do it, 50% of them won't be verified. So I strongly don't support the act of introducing kyc and it should be stopped.

The issue of KYC always raises questions whose answers are mostly not very discerning to the ears. It is quite unfortunate, I know most crypto enthusiasts are not comfortable giving out their personal information for KYC but there is little we can do about the situation at the moment. Most of these projects claim they are under a legal jurisdiction where KYC is very important for many business projects. The new trend is increasingly becoming worrisome as many airdrops are even requiring KYC verification from participants.
I try to skip any airdrop that asks for more than email address. How on earth should I make available my national ID and personal details for a project am not sure will evem succeed or get listed. I tried it once in my days as a greenhorn. I regret that act even till today. I can do a KYC for bounties but certainly not for a mere airdrop with few coins. But first, I have to be certain it is a laudable bounty.

Most Airdrops today are totally a waste of time. Imagine a project asking airdroppers to do KYC for token that does not worth more than 10 USD, though they ask for KYC to checkmate the activities of those that are expert in doing multiple accounts but to me, I don't think it should be up to that

It may be regrettable that the Airdrop project requires KYC verification. Maybe many people don't like it because the results are very few and also have a big risk. For me, KYC is not a problem, if it is really needed and as long as the project I follow has good potential. For me, it is not a problem to pass KYC verification.
It really becomes a big problem and suspicious when it is coming via airdrop, airdrop is meant to be a fee distribution of their token which does not require any form of investment to come in as fund. I will treat any airdrop that ask for my KYC as strictly spam that want to get my details to be able to scam me either now or in near future, but for the real projects, I know they can request for KYC because they need to also verify whoever is bringing in money into their system since we do have a lot of large investors and whatever rule they create for the system must surely affect all users since they wouldn’t know in the first place whether a user is coming in with big fund or not.

I think you should never pass kyc especially in airdrop , you just give your documents to strangers who with 99% will be used for their own purposes

It's an illusionistic and opportunistic trend in how to get data from innocent new users! This warms up a black market that many have no concept! Airdrop is like donation in real life, no one proves donation. In addition, this ICO + Airdrop model is totally uncomfortable and is deceiving many people. Sincerely, avoid this type of situation, in the future you will thank.

It sounds reasonable to avoid projects, airdrops ,bounties that demand KYC procedures as may did turn out to be scams in the past.I often wonder on this,if the crypto space is grossly unregulated, why are they conducting kyc? I am yet to see any government agency demanding projects to submit kyc of their customers.

Answers like selling indetities for few cents are pretty normal . But now try to imagine the situation of real company that are giving away free money, would they really send real money to non-exist people, to multi accounters?

Yes, what a drop you are. Top projects with affirmation of personality turn scam. And just donate my claim I’m koby for 5 $ This is stupid in my opinion.

Airdrops that requires KYC are very much annoying because they do not give much money like bounties do. Most at times, some of them don't even pay the money they promised..but stealing information for their own purposes.

It could have just been that everyone should avoid projects requesting KYC for airdrops. It doesn't worth it — exchange one's private documents for peanuts. But what can be done when we have various participants with different needs, where some still don't mind risking their privacy data for small amount. The odds are always against the participants and hunters as there are the ones risking a lot for these projects.

If the airdrops token they gives is thousands of dollars value each participants for sure they will send their KyC to airdrops. Don't assume because you give to the participants some token you will get their full information. Careful because we know a lot of Airdrop are scam so it means once you send your KYC maybe the team of airdrops or the projects and use your presonal details.

Although there is no problem to give our personal data.but it should be given to only any reputed project. If we give our personal data any airdrops then be careful it's results would be Tees full for us.l think so.

I understand projects that ask investors to provide KYC, as well as bounty, but only if they said this on the beginning of campaign. But for airdrop, it seems to me that such verification is superfluous. Especially when they pay small change or nothing at all.

You should never give away your KYC just to get an airdrop token from an unknown coin, just forget that coin. Last year I did signature campaign for two different coins, that without any warning wanted KYC after the signature campaign ended. One of the coins have closed downs its homepage and done an exit scam, the other coin seems worthless and noting have happened after the ICO ended. I'm happy I didn't give away my KYC to any of those coins. Doing KYC on a trustworthy exchange are a different thing, and can be done if you trust the exchange.

I think it would be better for all of us to ignore those airdrops that require KYC (know your customer). It is absolutely unnecessary they may have other intentions.

Join Bitcointalk KYC, you will get the real air by completing all steps, Theymos promises it. Now to be more honest, do not do KYC process if you have a bad feeling from the project - if you feel that the project is not legit. Example of a legit project? For example Blockchain.com and its Stellar Lumen airdrop.
