My prediction was very wrong, sadly of course, because I expected a lot of goals in this match, considering that Olympiacos played very well when playing in the semifinals beating Aston Villa. But in this final match, it looks like Olympiacos is only trying to hold on to a draw and thus, it looks like Olympiacos hopes that the match will continue in a penalty shootout. Obviously, a final match like this is not at all interesting because Olympiacos only plays defensively and at the same time, Fiorentina also gets deadlocked because Olympiacos only plays defensively. Unfortunately, Cristiano Biraghi goal in the 9th minute was also disallowed because offside. If that goal had not been disallowed then I'm sure the match would have been more interesting. But yes, hopefully Fiorentina will succeed in scoring a goal before this match ends in normal time.

Few minutes ago in one Croatian football group I read a comment that goes something like "the way the are playing, they won't even be able to score goal in penalties" whihc sums up the game perfectly. 

But yeah, pretty bad game so far with very few solid chances.

Olympiacos and Fiorentina are rightfully playing very carefully. The match went to overtime and both teams are still playing cautiously. The players' fitness dropped noticeably and they got tired. They are right about this too. Now, players who will bring movement to the game after player changes have the chance to make changes to the game. If it continues like this, the winner will be determined by penalties and there will be critical moments for the goalkeepers.

Today's Europa League Conference final will pit Italian representatives, Fiorentina, against Greek representatives, Olympiacos. I also rarely follow this competition, but if you look at the statistics, Fioerintina will win this final match. Because of course they will have a bitter experience in 2023, so Fiorentina has to pay for that experience in this match because of course they don't want that disappointment to happen again. However, for Olympiacos, this is a first and an opportunity for them to make history by recording the name of the Greek representative as champion of the Europa League Conference.

Olimpiakos is also a tough opponent so it should not be underestimated, just look at the top scorer with 10 goals. However, in the final match, sometimes anything can happen. But I'm willing to bet that Fiorentina will win the Conference League this season. Apart from being able to automatically qualify for the Europa League next season following AS Roma and Lazio, a qualifying ticket for next season's Conference League will be given to Torino.

Final games are always difficult to predict, there are so many nerves on both sides, I don't have a favorite anymore, both teams have same chances right now in my opinion, but the game is not good to watch

Both teams played negative football because they didnt want to concede first. The last time Fiorentina won the trophy in European competition was happened in 1961 and Olympiacos won the Balkan Cup in 1963.
So, its understandable that they play monotonously like now, both teams have waited more than 60 years to win a trophy in European Competition.

Looking at the current conditions with extra time still continuing it looks like this match will go to a shootout as both clubs seem to be starting to hold back now especially with only 10 minutes left so missing a goal could be fatal for them.

Both are also still quite balanced although in terms of opportunities of course Fiorentina is greater than Olympiacos but in terms of performance and possession of the ball actually this is still quite comparable. But indeed for now opportunities like this must be utilized better for Fiorentina.

Last season they made it to the final but had to be willing to recognize West Ham as champions and this season their chance to be in the final also happened again and it would be regrettable if in the end Fiorentina failed again and had to be runner up again.
Atalanta have now won the Europa League when they were in the final as Serie A representatives and now Fiorentina must certainly do the same if they really want to continue to make Serie A proud in the big competition.

And as it turned out, it was Olympiacos who was able to score a goal in extra time in the 116th minute. Fiorentina must have been a little shocked by this condition. Considering whatever it is, Fiorentina is still the favorite here. In fact, they are also quite good at ball domination. But yes, that doesn't guarantee they will win. Because they actually conceded 1 goal in extra time.

This petrandingn really lasted a very long time. This final lasted until extra time again. Currently, the minute is 120 + 1. And Olympiacos is still 1 - 0 ahead of Fiorentina. Could Fiorentina really lose this time? Probably if seeing the position right now.

Olympiakos will win this match because I don't think that Fiorentina will be able to equalize this goal after a long 120 minutes. The only goal was scored on the 116th minutes. This is the first time that Olympiakos will have their first European trophy since 1961

To tell you the truth, I haven't followed the Conference League closely, as I've focused on the Champions League, the Europa League and so on, but I will be watching the final
And for a bit of excitement, since I'm neutral in this final between Fiorentina and Olympiakos, I'm going to place a bet on Fiorentina

Now obviously I'll be rooting for the Italian team 
It's interesting because Italy was very well represented by Atalanta and Fiorentina, while the bigger clubs didn't do well in the other leagues

I did not watch either of Olympiakos semi final matches against Aston Villa but being able to defeat a team like Aston Villa on both turfs, home and away was enough to earn my trust to back them tonight, so my bet is on Olympiakos.

Too bad for me, I really should have just gone with Olympiakos to lift the trophy, I had that much trust in them to win but they just couldn't get it done within 90 minutes, great win for them, and first European trophy for any Greek side couldn't have come in a much better circumstance and fashion.

As expected by many people, the match ended 0-0 and went into extra time. That's how these two teams play, in the final they were very controlled and did everything they could to avoid conceding a goal. As the extra time was about to end, Olympiakos' star striker El Kaabi scored and brought the trophy to his team. It was about to go to penalties. I haven't watched such a boring final in a long time. Neither team deserved to win the cup.

Again and again Fiorentina had to settle for runner-up in the Conference League this time after Ayoub El Kaabi's agonizing goal in the last 4 minutes ended their hopes of lifting the trophy and Fiorentina now seem to be runner-up specialists for this competition.
2 consecutive seasons they always try and 2 seasons also they have to lose in the final with a narrow score and always a painful goal because previously in the final last season also West Ham managed to win with a goal in the 90th minute.

This is obviously sad even though Fiorentina's performance from the start was quite good and in this match too they were not bad but indeed the concentration in the final minutes they always broke down with the high tension because the final made their concentration always bad at the crucial time.

Congratulations to Olympiacos who did manage to bring the trophy this season and nice try Fiorentina because after all they have worked very hard in this competition.

Unlucky Fiorentina lost Conference Cup final second time with Olympiacos is having first ever UEFA trophy for the Greece is amazing with both teams done good job and fight till last minute of the game at the end we have better team as winner.

With this result now we will have Fiorentina will be third time in this competition in next season, but this could be surely heartbroken for them as they lost this match after having hard fought into first 115 minutes of the game now just few days left into last big game of this season.

Surely, the match was so boring. I had to keep checking on it once in a while and thought it was even going to the penalties. However, after all this, Olympiacos Piraeus have made history by becoming the first Greek side to win a trophy in a European Competition.

The home advantage probably did help a bit.

I think the home advantage definitely helped Olympiacos. I know about their performance against Aston Villa even in England of course. But the atmosphere still makes difference. Olympiacos did their best to make their fans happy and finally did it in extra time. I guess Fiorentina weren't expecting to concede that goal in the last moments.

However I believe it's a deserved title for Olympiacos especially due to their progress in the last stages. What a pity that Fiorentina failed in the Conference League finale 2 years in a row!

The Moroccan Ayoub El Kaabi didn't had the luxury of letting the game into a penalty shootouts as he gave Olympiacos their first ever European trophy with that beautiful harder in the 116th minutes at the extra time giving his team a 1 nil lead against Florentina. Before the beginning of this match Florentina were the favourite for the game but it happened that they missed many goal chances in both half's of the game puting the Olympiacos goalkeeper in the limelight with those  delicate saves. It was really an interesting match and I can't say I wasn't entertained tonight with all of those thrilling moments. Congratulations to the Greece side!

Massive congratulations to Olympiacos, though I wasn't happy with their late minute goal during the die minute of extra time of 120 minutes, I wasn't also in support of fiorentina, but at that stage of the game, I would have just preferred they both played penalties and whatever comes out we all take it, that for me would have been more justifiable. I didn't see too much of extreme actions in the game as both teams were playing like equals. Congratulations Olympiacos, as this victory has shown that we still have the presence of Greece in European competitions.
