It's not very useful to claim you're KYC free if you rely on partners who have a reputation of freezing unwanted transactions to perform your exchanges, or to function at all in general.

There is a noticeable phenomenon where certain exchangers offer a free AML check before creating an order. However, this, in some way, gives security to the users so that they will not lose their funds.
Also, if the user sends coins and the exchanger cannot handle it, the possibility of a refund is quite acceptable.
These are still not ideal solutions, but they are the closest to accepting that they are user-oriented.

We here as a respectable community should probably force user-oriented services.

As a third party in the whole deal, you cannot guarantee even the best service. There are always uncontrollable situations.

The no KYC narrative sells faster and they thought the could bank on it forever until the partners started freezing funds and requesting for KYC.

I don't even think that the majority of viewers hate KYC, they just want to avoid being "regulation-scammed".

I have two announcements today.

ScamWhammer is making a comeback.

ScamWhammer is an old project of mine from my early days in the forum, that aimed to create one giant filter of crypto scam sites. It was abandoned for logistical reasons, but now it's going to be incorporated into BitMixList.

The expanded list will focus on phishing links of mixers, exchanges of all kinds, wallet software, and P2P software.

With just a few taps on your keyboard and a click of a button, you will be able to see whether the website is legitimate or not.

This feature will be added in a few days.

Eventually, SHA256 hashes and PGP signatures will also be supported for verifying downloaded software.

Announcing expedited listing for mixers and exchangers (No longer available, the following is for reference only)

BitMixList is a trusted web resource that has been running since December 2023, with over 5,000 unique views and over 20,000 non-unique visits during that time. Many people rely on the list to find safe services that will not scam them.

I am aware that some operators without forum ANN threads wish to get their sites listed.

Normally, after a project posts an ANN thread, I wait at least two months - among other things -  before adding a new mixer and exchangers.

In expedited listing, you essentialy trade time wth money. Eager operators (NO scammers/phishing sites allowed ever) are now able get their sites listed quicker. Below are the criteria for expedited listing:

• All mixers (including altcoin mixers, Jambler): I must perform a manual mix on your website. Therefore the price is necessarily higher. See below table for reference. The letter of guarantee created by your mixer will be posted publicly on the website. Necessary in order to detect the output of "Stolen Coins" category!
• Exchangers: I must always do a test BTC => ETH exchange in order to ensure that customers' funds will not be frozen whether by the service itself, or by liquidity probiders. Bitcoins sourced from eXch will be used for this purpose. A letter of guarantee or invoice will be publicly posted if available, otherwise screenshot of the exchange result will be posted.

All fees are to be paid in Bitcoin or Monero. The entire amount paid will be used for testing the mixer/exchange.

Mixers pay $100*(60-days in operation). The price goes down by $100 every day, so think about whether you actually need expedited listing before purchasing.

All exchangers pay $50*(60-days in operation). The prices reflect the significantly larger number of exchangers in the industry, and also the much higher risk a user faces when using an exchange compared to using a mixer.

Privacy is a human right, not a crime. Therefore, I will support the efforts of other services who also agree with this.

Great idea for reviving this, and maybe you should thiunk about making it easy for everyone to contribute and send new scam websites for approval.
I would make it possible to export the list and import it in uBlock origin and imilar adblockers.

This is fine, but with rising issues with Bitcoin fungibility I would consider adding option for accepting alternative payments in privacy coins like monero.
It is ok to have expedited listing, but there is higher risk with all new services, so I would add small warning about that.

This is the first time I see this website, and I don't know if that is legit or scam service, but their domain was created on 25 May 2022

I tested another known mixing service and I received this message:

Uh, I can only imagine how much work and time this would take. I'm not sure one person's full-time would be enough. Even if this list deals exclusively with mixer services and scams from this industry.
I already have a long list of suspicious sites waiting to be checked, but I don't have much time to investigate.

This could potentially be used as paid service of investigating mixing and other service and giving your risk evaluation.
If someone can create silly AML ratings for coins than I don't see why we can't have actual risk rating for services.

I have determined that the issue lies with a faulty server. I am currently provisioning a new one.

Update: server operation has been restored. I am considering using a load balancer for when things like this happen again, but the only problem is that the IP addresses are on two completely different networks, so a local LAN balancer would not be possible.

In your table you mention that Retoswap only supports monero. Maybe it was like that in the beginning but the exchange now also supports USDT, ETH, LTC, BCH, and maybe others.

There are two other no-KYC exchanges and marketplaces that you could consider adding to BitMixList:

- Vexl: a P2P mobile exchange for BTC trading
