Like some of the other folks, I'm not here with a bone to pick - I own none of these items (although I really do like the design and will likely buy some), but I've found some more discrepencies. I am very much hoping these are simply data errors/oversights/a bad spell in funding responsibilities.

I encourage you to read this entire post before drawing a conclusion, and if you are in a position to clear up some of the discrepancies (such as by owning an item involved), reply to this post or reaching out to me directly if you do not wish to identify yourself - I will update this post and keep your identity anonymous.

Loading Status

I have loaded all of the series mentioned in the MASTER MAKER/ADDRESS/LISTS OF LISTS!!! for MrCryptHodl into Collectible Money.

If you own any items from his series (BTC only for now), you can use the site to look them up and track them. If the data you see on the site does not match the physical item in your hand, please reach out to me (read the rest of this post for an explanation as to why)

As of writing, this tallies up to 2.75 BTC, or around 160k USD in TVL for items in his series.

We can tally up the funding status of each series, as well as the first and most recent funding activity, using God Mode

Code:
SELECT
  series_name,
COUNT(CASE WHEN first_active IS NULL THEN 1 END) AS unfunded_count,
COUNT(CASE WHEN first_active IS NOT NULL AND redeemed_on IS NULL THEN 1 END) AS funded_count,
COUNT(CASE WHEN redeemed_on IS NOT NULL THEN 1 END) AS redeemed_count,
  MAX(first_active) AS most_recent_funding_date,
  MIN(first_active) AS first_funding_date
FROM
  god_view
WHERE
  creators LIKE '%mrcrypthodl%'
GROUP BY
  series_name;

This gives us:

Most series have one or more unfunded items. To be clear, I'm not saying all of these are sold, unfunded-but-should-be-funded. As stated by MrCryptHodl previously, not all collections sold out, and items sold via the website or other channels may have been sold as unfunded and are correctly in that state.

However, while importing this data, I noticed several data discrepancies.

Data Discrepencies

We are fortunate that MJ and cygan has religiously duplicated the address lists from MrCryptHodl's announcement and sales threads into the Master list - this gives us a snapshot of those at some past point in time.

Against those, I have discovered that there have been several changes and unexplained additions/removals to the address lists.

Links are to the master list, which contains links to the MrCryptHodl's posts for that series:

1HoDLCLUB Golden Brass BTC Poker chips - BGC107 1xBTCQoi3h3zADDNPTgJgNF7EtWsQhat6 marked as destroyed
1HoDLCLUB Orange Clay BTC Poker chips Solo chips - MJ's list is much longer - 1xBTCfYRcsw1UwKQjZ1RkfZFZm7Fjvggm, 1xBTCGot3tLTrGvYA6ev7jatLCAW6nnMk, and 1xBTCJPbaxheGnhawx7cg62NArvNS5yJY do not appear on MJ's list. This means at some point a longer list was posted, and then some addresses were changed (so the current list in MrCryptHodl's post is not simply a subset of the first).
1HoDLCLUB Fine Gold 999.9 Bitcoin chips - 1, 2, 3 marked as stolen, address for 10 changed to 1xBTCZuGUu6JGNP1Mb3TsBeXcPmvFnbNN from 1xBTCVABBYzBrGXCJ22JCNG3xeX18qsnd
1HoDLCLUB 1oz GENESIS Coin - 18 addresses changed - 3, 6, 7, 14, 17, 21, 34, 39, 42, 43, 51, 56, 60, 68, 73, 81, 88, 176
1 YEAR EDITION MOON PASS Fine Silver 999.9 - MJ has 42 1MoonxderhUFResRw7cDCSd5qPTud5Jmed that does not appear in the OP
1HoDLCLUB 5oz GENESIS Fine Silver 999.9 Ingots - MJ has 1-9 that do not appear in the OP

The other collections not explicitly mention above have a 100% match between the snapshot in the master maker list and the announcement posts by MrCryptHodl.

Additionally, if my assumption holds that MJ and cygan simply copied the original lists from the OPs when they made those posts on the master maker list, it looks like some addresses were duplicated across collections in the initial announcements. I'm hopeful that this was just a data/transcription error, and that there are no duplicate addresses in real world items (especially since many of the announcement posts have been edited with updated address lists). I imported primarily from the master maker list, but some collections were cross checked or copied from the announcement posts.

Once again, using God Mode:

Code:
SELECT
  addresses,
  json_group_array(json_object('series_name', series_name, 'serial', serial)) AS series_serials
FROM
  god_view
WHERE
  creators like '%mrcrypthodl%' AND
  addresses <> '[null]'
GROUP BY
  addresses
HAVING
  COUNT(DISTINCT item_id) > 1;

We get:
Code:

Some of these seem to have been simple data entry errors - for example 1xBTCAJKnDZoKxb8BNkNkh45eeDwyMKbF was funded with 0.0025BTC, which would imply it actually belongs to the Silver Poker chips rather than the Orange Clay ones which were to be funded with 0.0005BTC. However, the Orange Clay chips list was truncated, and no longer contains a serial 244 to cross check against MJ's original post.

HELP IDENTIFY

If you own any of the items referenced in the above table, please post a reply here with the serial (if it is a serialized item), and the address - including a photo is helpful. If you do not wish to be public about your ownership, you can send it to me directly and I will convey it here.

Disclaimers

I am not saying that MyCryptHodl is a scam, but clearly there is room for improvement here - so far, there is no indication of any items being swept or the keys being compromised. The designs are solid, and I'm generally a fan of his work. However, it is important to ensure that if we're paying for funded items, they are funded, and that the keys match the addresses.

I'm hopeful that this will blow over in a few days and things will be cleared up, and that we can get revised, accurate address and funding updates.

I did identify a number of discrepancies with his lists, and this case wasn't on there.

At this stage, I would be hesitant to purchase any of his items as funded - it is clear that the keys under the holo may not match what was declared, and even he himself lost track - funded coins may have their coins sitting under another holo.

I will consider peeling my set - I don't think it's reasonable to assume a funded MrCryptHodl is a funded item.

This is what am trying to tell you all.
Private key mismatch.
So if someone swep their coins, they might also swept someone coins. Double funding Private  key.
So so many mistake were done.
I still say that it's not a scam type, It mostly shady work , rushing.  Huh

Wow... a true Schroedinger's coin - it's both funded/unfunded until you check...

EDIT: All kidding aside - this single incident basically fucked us all quite properly; not just it made all 1HodlClub loaded coins/bars worth less (as basically any incident regarding the makers' reputation would), but possibly even below its load value - because from now on there is a very real possibility that even a coin (each and every) you believe is loaded, is in fact not. Now that's a biggie...
And it can only get worse, as bitcoin value increases - say the load value gets to $100k or more - who in right mind would pay any sort of premium if there's a actual chance that $100k is simply not there..?
The issue with MrCryptHodl not funding all the coins was one thing (I somewhat understand how/why it happened and until he left he seemed kinda willing to remedy it), but this puts all of this in very, very different perspective. Oof.

I think the conclusion in the edit may be a bit premature without more examples instead of just one.  I mean something happened similar with Smoothie involving more than 1 coin and there's no public address list to check against that:  https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=2011139.0;all

Now that HoDL has risen from the dead, let’s hope he replies to everyone who is owed funding or items that were not delivered.  MrLeMMeHodLUrShitZ should have addressed his butt fuckery first before announcing new sales 👀

Just wanted to bring this to your attention, as this guy is now on DT2:

YodasRedRocket    2024-09-14    Reference    This fuckin guy ran a soft scam for years leaving many customer’s coins unfunded. He funded 1 member’s coins but when more came to light & amount of BTC owed became too much, he disappeared. Website is down. He hasn’t been on Twitter for a long time… I’ve heard, since he blocked me on Twitter. Until MrHoDLurFundZ loads everyone’s items, this negative will stay 👎

Might want to exclude him from your trust list, if you feel its appropriate (give your negative on him, seems like you do).

Anyone else who is including him may want to reconsider -- not trying to tell you guys what to do, just providing a reminder that this guy is still included by a number of DT members, and their opinions may have changed in light of the last year's events.

Quote
Trust list for: MrCryptHodl (Trust: +45 / =1 / -6) (875 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP) (created 2025-01-04_Sat_04.28h)
18. YodasRedRocket (Trust: +29 / =0 / -0) (DT1! (2) 611 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

What are you even saying? Add Yoda to untrusted feedback so it doesn’t hit your stats??

Answered below - thanks!

nutildah is saying Yoda has MrCryptHodl included in his personal trust list, which acts as a vote to put MrCryptHodl in "DefaultTrust" (level 2, aka DT2), this would indicate Yoda trusts MrCryptHodl's judgement on feedback, and/or his judgement on who MrCryptHodl has included (or excluded) from his trust list.

He is suggesting that if someone has lost trust for MrCryptHodl, and does not consider his feedback trustworthy, and/or if they disapprove of the trust list that MrCryptHodl has setup himself, then they should remove MrCryptHodl from their personal trust list and/or specifically exclude him.

Feedback & trust lists are 2 different things, LoyceV's guide here explains it in detail, but essentially:

~details~
Don't confuse your Trust list with feedback
Trust feedback: leave feedback to people you trust or don't trust. Or leave neutral comments.
Trust list: a list of people who's judgement on others you trust (username) or don't trust (~username).
~details~
Trust feedback
Trust feedback (Positive/Neutral/Negative) can be used to express your opinion about someone's trustworthiness. In other words: would you trust or have you trusted this user with your money?
~details~
Trust list
You should add users who left accurate feedback and have good Trust lists to your Trust list, and you should exclude users who leave inaccurate feedback.
This means your Trust list should be based on how you value the users' judgement on others, and it should not be based on whether or not you Trust those users (with money) or traded with them.
I encourage anyone to create their own custom Trust list! But before you do, please continue reading so you understand the implications.
~details~

I've never had MrCryptHodl in my trust list although did give negative feedback in September when I saw this thread taking a turn for the worse. Given the circumstances and the way MrCryptHodl has dealt with his accusers, and after reviewing MrCryptHodl's personal trust list (where he has himself excluded people like owlcatz, Yoda, ChiBitCTy, and anonymousminer), I personally do not trust his judgement, so I've excluded him from my trust list and geophphreigh has also recently excluded him, so MrCryptHodl is no longer in the DefaultTrust network at this point.

Thanks for the explanation! I need to remove cryptohodl from my trust list as well.

Although I don’t believe (I hope he didn’t!) he kept keys, his failure to address funding issues makes me not trust him. Too bad cuz he made some great items.  Still personally hodling my 1hodlclub items - all funded that should be and funds haven’t moved. Hopefully switched keys was an isolated incident but he should still pay the funding that is owed. Guess we will see if he revives his brand and puts in the work to make things right… or chooses not to

I don’t remember adding 1HodlUrFundZ to my trust list but I have corrected this error.  Apologies… I thought my negative trust would show whatever circlejerk list he was on 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, you're probably right... It just occurred to me when I wrote that, but this is basically risk of all physical bitcoin coins.

I think the conclusion in the edit may be a bit premature without more examples instead of just one.  I mean something happened similar with Smoothie involving more than 1 coin and there's no public address list to check against that:  https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=2011139.0;all

No problem!  I think he still has a chance to make things right with unfunded coins, I'm not sure what to say about mixing keys and addresses, that seems like pure negligence and hopefully isolated. Funding the unfunded coins would be a good first step to moving forward and may show he actually cares, although I can't say I have any real confidence at this point based on his reaction and subsequent actions, but I'd be happy if he proved me wrong. I don't think we've seen any clear evidence of keeping keys or sweeping yet though.

Your negative feedback definitely shows since you are on DefaultTrust, and nobody has excluded you (except MrCryptHodl himself, which he appears to have done last March, but it isn't as relevant at this point because he's not on DT himself anymore). It gets a little confusing because DefaultTrust is like a dynamic web of trust based on user votes (votes done through inclusions/exclusions from other users trust lists). To summarize, those votes essentially pick users who will have sent feedback appear as "trusted" on any users that include "DefaultTrust" in their list, which every user starts off with by default, and also this votes to include those users trust lists, and who they have in their trust lists, how deep the web goes is the purpose of the "depth" setting on the trust settings page, which by default goes 2 levels deep.

I'm not sure I'm doing a great job explaining this clearly, but LoyceV's guide explains it in much greater detail. Feel free to PM if you need any help with it, you would just need to delete him off your list at the trust settings page assuming you do not agree with his judgement on his feedbacks and/or his trust list inclusions/exclusions, I don't want to derail this thread too much. Yep, trust but verify.  When received, I typically check coin addresses again the public lists provided to see if any discrepancies.  If/when there are, I have followed up with the coin makers to see if it's me or them.  When BGC036 was received, the address should have been checked again public list which would have shown discrepancies and then follow up with maker could have occurred in order to rectify- doesn't appear this happened.

@ibminer - Thanks for doing this here - many collectibles users (through no fault of their own really) just don't understand the difference between lists and feedbacks, so I appreciate it.

I've tried to help many people here on DT1/2 (some don't even know it?) and try to educate as well, but some just don't want to even deal with the details unfortunately....

Cheers, appreciate it again, we def don't need scammers on DT1 or 2. Tongue

All good man, it definitely helps to understand how it works once you wrap your mind around it. I think the more people who use it effectively, the better it should work, in theory at least. It's definitely not perfect though... humans are involved, gullibility exists, and charismatic con artists know how to trick people, I should know since I was tricked myself once. Undecided   You and I are fortunate enough to have been here since 2014, 2013, respectively, and have sort of grown up with it, it's hard for me to imagine what I'd think of it if joining this forum today for the first time, it's definitely unique.

ok, so finally got the key that was underneath the BGC036 chip...

The public address that is printed on the BGC036 chip "1xBTC1E3uJ" is actually listed as the public address for BGC051 chip:
https://collectible.money/search?q=1xBTC1E3uJ36vXFBr39MDJKz5tbi9qQcb
https://mempool.space/address/1xBTC1E3uJ36vXFBr39MDJKz5tbi9qQcb

So this key got swept when the other collector redeemed the batch of chips on December 25 2024

Key/address mix-up Sad

Then if we check the the address that is associated to the key underneath, it gives:
"1xBTCA2jLuX1qgKLH9vytw2ebthDf6xFq"
https://collectible.money/search?q=1xBTCA2jLuX1qgKLH9vytw2ebthDf6xFq
https://mempool.space/address/1xBTCA2jLuX1qgKLH9vytw2ebthDf6xFq

This address never got funded

Following up on this post...

I received a picture of the public address hologram and confirmed the private key for chip BGC051

With this information, it has been determined that the key pairs were swapped and the one chip never was funded, but should have been.

With this information, it has been determined that the key pairs were swapped and the one chip never was funded, but should have been.

Unless I misread, in actuality this issue appears to have stemmed from a duplicate public address (1xBTC1E3uJ36vXFBr39MDJKz5tbi9qQcb) and not the private keys themselves as both BGC036 (1xBTCA2jLuX1qgKLH9vytw2ebthDf6xFq) & BGC051 (1xBTC1E3uJ36vXFBr39MDJKz5tbi9qQcb) did indeed have separate private keys that corresponded with the expected, different public addresses- verified by peeling and checking against the address list.  It seems if the owner of BOC036 would have checked the public address against the address list provided by the maker, they would have seen the duplicate address with BOC051 and could have reached out to the maker to remedy.  The maker could have then either applied the hologram with the correct address or issue a new chip.  Let me know if I missed the mark in understanding or confused something.

Haven't checked in for ages, reading up a bit just now.

-> It is my understanding MrCryptSodl went MIA around mid 2024 and no one has had any contact with them since then - is that correct?

He was based in Switzerland if I am not mistaken, anyone got any answers to his/her whereabouts or what might be going on?
Just changed my neutral warning trust to negative.

Still owned several items from early 2024, has'nt responded to any of my inquiries sent via forum.

He was based in Switzerland if I am not mistaken, (...)

correct - although his real name sounds very Turkish, his company was based in Switzerland (but half Europe is flooded by Turkish people):

1Hodlgroup GmbH (formerly: WebSimple SARL)
Route de Chancy 8
1213 Petit-Lancy
Switzerland

according to the www, the company was (is?) run by him and his brother (or any other relative with the same Turkish surname but with the majority of the shares, approximately 97.5%)
