Xian Network itself is a dPoS blockchain, meaning the blocks are proposed and validated by Validators of the network. To attract another group of people (miners) we provided them with a way of getting Xian tokens, while funding the project itself. Explained here https://forum.xian.org/t/randomx-pow-is-here/70. Your Xian address miner is tracked by the password parameter of XMrig.

When Lamden's development was killed, some community members took it upon themselves to bring the original vision back to life. No connection with the old team, although the current devs did have projects on the old lamden chain
