Who it affects most when the price falls? no one if all investors are to invest for long term because even if it falls, there is possibility for it to rise again. It's only those greedy investors who wants to invest and start making profits almost immediately, that gets affected because since they have short term time line, when the price DIPs, it becomes a problem to them because they will be left with two options, selling at lost price or holding on till the price recovers again but they often sell at lost due to lack of patience and fear of the market falling further. Currently, there are still many things that can influence the market, especially after seeing that there are many companies and governments of certain countries who have started to like Bitcoin and also several other altcoins so that what they say and convey to the public will often be exposed by major media which can also result in an increase in the purchasing power of Bitcoin and also several altcoins.

Indeed, they are literally affected but as others have said, it also depends on the mindset. Well if they are always positive, they will never be affected. These are the same people who does a DCA when investing. For those short-term goers only, I think they won't also buy at the top.

However if the price declines and they are caught up, they can still be affected but the effect is only less either in a literal or non-literal way. I would say even they could figure out a way to recover. Like if you bought too high, whenever it goes down, just buy some more and even it out, eventually it will go back up and that will be getting a better situation and shouldn't be a big deal at all. I can see how things could change as well and we could make a good return from it as well. I can see how people could have arguments about not waiting and selling, to wait for it to go down even more, but that's a risk and I wouldn't take that risk, just like how it dropped after one buys it, the price could go up after they sell it as well.

But holding has advantages further, like if it goes down after you buy, then you can buy more, and if it goes down even after that, you can still buy more. If you worry not having enough money, just wait, if the price recovers then you profit, if it doesn't recover then you will get your salary eventually and put like some of that into bitcoin to even that out.
