As you probably know,
an individual - or a group of individuals - is creating copies of
eXch.cx for phishing purposes. For months now, eXch (and part of our community) has been doing everything in their power to get these phishing domains suspended, trying to protect eXch users from the unpleasant loss of their funds.
Many domains have already been suspended up to this day, but we have to acknowledge that it's often difficult to achieve this result due to the lack of response from registrars and the overall phishing domains multiplication. Our efforts are sometimes insufficient, and despite the support of our community warning new users about these risks, we still continue to receive messages from users who have lost their funds on some of these malicious domains.
That's why eXch is launching an anti-phishing campaign, inviting everyone to take part and contribute to a safer, healthier environment for our users in exchange of a BTC reward.
How to proceed?You need to report at least one of the domain names listed below.
This is generally done by e-mail, so you'll need to
include our e-mail address ([email protected]) in CC or BCC (this is mandatory to claim the reward).
If the abuse report is sent via website - the auto-generated email reply with
ticket/case ID must be forwarded to
[email protected].
If you want to make reports and to receive a reward, you
need first to reply to this thread with your BTC address.
Does this apply to all phishing domains impersonating eXch?No, the domain must first be approved by our team, and therefore must be included in the list below. Otherwise, reports from unlisted domains, although appreciated, will not lead to a reward. If you've found a phishing domain that isn't listed here, please let us know (by sending us an email or creating a ticket via our support service
https://exch.cx/support).
It is obvious that our team will analyze the domains that are reported to us, so creating new ones in order to abuse the rewards will not be possible. We only consider to add new domains when they're older than 6 months.
Will I earn a reward? If so, how much and what are the eligibility requirements?eXch offers a
reward of 0.1 BTC per domain suspended.
This reward will be shared between the different users who efficiently reported the domain (once again we insist on the necessity to put our email in CC (or BCC) or to forward us the ticket/case ID).
We consider a domain to be fully suspended when it is
offline for more than 1 month. Rewards will not be distributed outside these conditions.
Once a domain has been suspended, eXch will take the time necessary to check the various reports, and will reward users accordingly.
List of active domains you can report:Note that reports made over the weekend are more often ignored, so we recommend sending them during the week. Also, a phone call to registrar might speed up the suspension, feel free to give them a call if you want.
Update: We have noticed some users sent abuse report to the hosting company. Please DO NOT send abuse requests to hosting companies. The criteria is the suspended
domain, not its website.
