I see reasons with what you're saying but take note, not all traders are losers yes leveraging trading can be very skeptical such that it's always end up in loss in most cases but then there are some traders that do well in it and get lots of profits. But in the other hand an investor will do more greatly in his investment reason being that they invest in real coins other than shit coins and mostly long-term and when the time comes they'll always win that's clearly fine, regardless i just want to let you know that not all traders lose.

Mind you it is not all traders that lose money and it is not all investors that make profit. A very small investor will not make significant profit. A small investor who puts their assets in a centralized exchange will get liquidated faster..

It is true that some traders make profits and there are also many investors who lose money. But do you agree with me that the people who make the most money and become rich in this market are mainly long-term investors, and not traders? Like the stories of people making millions of dollars and becoming millionaires, the majority are people who bought bitcoin and held it for a long time. I rarely see any stories about someone becoming a millionaire through leverage trading.

Furthermore, which professional trader dares to claim or guarantee that they will never lose? Meanwhile, experienced and long-term investors are quite sure to make profits as long as the market remains. So I agree with what OP said and see nothing wrong.

Wherever you trade, you will certainly lose if you are not really good at trading. But this doesn't mean that if you are an investor, you are safe already, because losing is still possible if you don't do it right. In general, whether we are a trader or investor, it still matters how we manage it. It all lies in our decision-making, plans, and execution. It's just about the difference in courage and also about the difference in choices for each person because every step made is based on their own wishes without any coercion from others so that no one has to comment on other people's choices even though their own advice is not to lose money due to liquidation from the futures trade. But for investors who continue to secure their assets by storing certain coins in their personal wallets, it is also possible to carry out the futures trade even though after getting a profit they immediately exit and do not return in the near future.

That is why we must use stop loss when doing futures trading activities so that losses can be minimized even though it is not always effective, but I personally rarely do futures trading because I have felt the loss and it is better to trade spot which has a fairly low risk besides that I control the coins I buy even though I experience a loss I still have hope that the money can be returned half.

You are right I just made a post on this, future, margin and other types of trading where we have to take leverage and pay interest etc. we always gonna lose because the market always takes from these trades they always give profits to the ones with patience and consistency and I have heard all the motivational books out there says, be consistent and never accept failure learn the lesson and make another great effort.

This seems easy to say but very hard in practical life therefore we should focus on this more rather than focusing on making quick profit.

It also depends on the assets held. If you choose the wrong asset and unluckily the asset becomes worthless, then the investment will also not provide anything.

Trading is always done by everyone for a short period of time where a person buys a coin and keeps it with him for a short time and then sells it again. But those who invest try to hold them for a long time until they get their expected profit. Due to which traders are always panicking and very afraid. Especially those who do leverage trading are always in a state of panic because their balance is very volatile. Futures and margin trading has its risks, you are right, but that doesn't mean you can't make a profit from it. No one is forced to use high leverage for their trades; you can always trade with low leverage and make some money with that if you can make the right calls according to the movement of the market. If you decide to have a lower margin and a higher leverage, then of course, your chances of getting liquidated will be higher if the market goes against your prediction, but with low leverage a higher margin, you can make some profit because even if the market goes against your prediction initially, it will eventually take a U-turn and then you will make some profit.

I trade futures as well, and I can proudly say that I have been making some money from it. The maximum leverage that I use is 5x, and I DCA if the market goes against me and that allows me to get good profits at the end because as I said, even if the market goes the opposite way initially, if you stay patient and if you believe in your prediction and knowledge, you will eventually make some profit.

Not everything is so clear) If trading only brought losses to traders, then no one would trade on exchanges. Obviously, you should have said that most traders lose their money and only 5-10% make a profit.

Trading is very complicated and many of us that have trade many times and have ended in loses most try to work on ourselves so we don't keep making the same mistakes everytime we want to trade in the market. Traders must be fully aware of how sophisticated the market is so they don't end up losing more than they can risk. It is better to keep buying and holding as an investor than to rush into trading just because others are making money from trading the market. What we don't have skill for, we should not do it especially when it involves financial decision.

What’s your assertion for this? Or are you just making baseless claims? Both investors and traders lose and win but the likelihood of an investor losing is more minimal than that of a trader when compared. An investor of bitcoin has more chances of making it in the investment than one who invests in altcoins. Traders take risk base on analysis they make from the market, they become better overtime with what they learn. Base on the outcome of their analysis determines if they will win or lose a trade. Both have their pros and cons but I don’t see any of them being superior to the other, it just depend on what you want to achieve.

This can have a double meaning about leverage. Leverage in the futures and actual leverage or not taking risk. But I get to understand that people who are not used to leverage trading, shouldn't be leveraging.

People with doing spot trading also becomes profitable but just the difference are the risk for those doing a trades with the spot they are varies regards with the price movement of the market and the capital of course the higher the capital with your trades the higher the profit youve gained but the risk here is how long do you take or goal with your current holdings because if you go for a short term trades. Well, it really depends. If traders don’t have proper risk management, Coz it’s hard to stay profitable without it , i mean you’ll likely get liquidated and won’t be able to recover from losses. The same goes for investing.  even if you invest without leverage, the outcome still depends on the project itself. Wherein it could show great progress, or it could turn to dust unexpectedly, especially due to whale manipulation .unless you’re relying on Bitcoin.

These two options, trading and investingare actually the main sources of income for many enthusiasts in the space. But of course, we all have different perspectives. Bur for me, if I had to choose which one gives faster income, I’d say trading (for the short term), since investing usually takes months or even years before generating significant profit.

The statement in the title is wrong but the text is somewhat correct.

It is true that spot traders will always face longer terms of holding but will profit. While anything other than spot like for example margin/leverage/futures will always lose because that is a gambling game.

However that does not mean that non-spot traders are "traders" and spot traders are "investors" - there is an overlap between trader and investor, so lets keep it at that. Better to say spot traders and non-spot traders.

Honestly, we all know that future trading with its funding rate and maintenance fee is a losing game.
But most of us still think of the fact that we can move big capital by just using small amount of money as margin as an advantage, so that's why most of us still trade future.

Speaking realistically though, spot trading is always the way to go, even better if you can just hold. the time is in your favor if you hold bitcoin. no need to think about funding rate and other complicated things.
What you need to do is just wait and make profit, but it also requires big capital to make it meaningful which many don't really have, I'm myself trading future and also investing in bitcoin, I think this combination is the best.

Not every trader loses in the end and not every investor  makes Profit in the long run, it's wrong to generalize this. There are people that invested in cryptocurrencies and ended up having zero in their portfolio, some have lost from investing in stocks and all of that. There are traders who makes six figures weekly, everything is just based on information and knowledge you have on what you are doing. Trading has a lot of principles and if they are followed properly you can't just lose carelessly.
