Honestly trump talking something like that always shakes the market up a bit, whether it's political tactics or true policy shift it definitely inspires excitement. If tariffs truly decrease like he’s claiming it might open up trade and send markets higher rapidly but at the same time we’ve seen this kind of hype before and it doesn't always play out as planned. I think being partly in cash and partly invested as you are is a sensible medium ground right now.

When Trump was campaigning for the election, price was still down at $70k, why did he not make a public statement to tell people that they should start to invest into Bitcoin as quick as possible because  when he becomes the president, price will surge? Can you point me to where he made such statement?  So, why now about stocks, you will think the politicians love you, while they are more concerned about their own benefits. Maybe you don't know.

Excitement you say? I can only see a daylight market manipulation in play, and there is nothing exciting about that. I know that for some people whatever Trump says is exciting, but if you look at this critically, you will ask this question: "why did he start the tariff/economic war in the first place", something that was clearly not sustainable. Is the plan to start a war, dump prices, retract some of your statements, then prices pump, that is pump and dump manipulation and to the best of my knowledge, doing it on purpose isn't legal.

Clearly it is especially that he provably like investors to redirect to buy US stocks so that there's provably an increase of demand would gonna happen.

But its really up to the investor if they would buy what Trump say since somehow we don't know what will happen and if he could really bring good changes the same as what he have been said on his speech. I always see them as manipulators that's why people should be careful following on each actions they do.

A more appropriate expression is not to trust politicians too much because sometimes they talk not about facts but interests. Regardless of whether it is done based on belief or not, what we need to do is how to take advantage of the conditions because the most important thing is that every moment must end better for the investment we are doing. The era of the rise of crypto may be the reason why Trump started talking and he himself also has coins, so whatever happens is not a problem as long as we are able to take advantage of the conditions for the benefit of the investment we are doing.

Dr.Bitcoin_Strange might be right about Donald Trump when he made a statement that looks as if his only motive is for how the market will suddenly increase without much of consideration of what might happen later and also for those who would be investing it through the influence he has, actually even if his intention is not for market manipulation but a lot of large organizations will definitely do that and later dump the price, I believe we saw a little of it on Bitcoin during the time he made similar announcements and we began to see a lot of selling after the price was up, so something related to that will happen on this stock gain.

No matter what everyone's say about trump statement but one thing is for sure that he has the market insights and maybe he also knows about the future policies as he is the one making them 

Today, the CPI data comes out, and the number seems interesting. It is 2.3% while the last CPI was 2.4%. So it is lower than expected and overall it is good for stocks and crypto markets. I see good days ahead and trump was quite right when he said "Buy stocks now"

Under normal circumstances this would be considered market manipulation and someone with a platform reaching millions openly giving investment advice would be subject to investigation. But when the person in question is the President of the United States, things change. This isn't Trump's first instance of market manipulation though. If anyone chooses to invest based on his words, they'll have to face the consequences. Anyone who wants to buy U.S. stocks are free to do so, I'll just stick to Bitcoin.

He really shouldn’t be cheering at the moment. Maybe if everything pumps 20% or more from here he can claim victory.

So far the Trump game is working, he seems to be controlling the market with his moves. Probably a lot of millions are being made by insiders. The problem of course is having the information before he makes the truth/twitter post and then it arrives into the news and then traders react to this. But so far it just seems clear that any havoc he causes is temporary and he uses it just to get a better deal, or hoping to get a stronger hand in the negotiation table. Even if it doesn't work, he will just find a way to sell it as a success. He is already selling this rally as "the best stock market rally ever" when we are coming from one of the worst bear streaks in many years. In retrospect I should have bought a ton of stock during peak panic, but the doom and gloomers once again made me second thought that this was finally the real recession, and so all the people that did not buy may end up rage-buying back into the market, creating a new ATH. Luckily I did not exist all of my positions and I did not exist any positions at a loss, it's just that I didn't add, and at this point I don't feel like adding much now, I would need a better entry.

And it's now looking as if Trump made this a deliberate action to have tried to increase the tariff to influence the price of stocks and Trump might think is smart but sometimes we should not take is word for granted because from the beginning he knows that the bill on the increase will not be granted but still went ahead to make such announcements.

And if Trump should succeed in making the price go up Even by 100% it's going to boost the economy of the country because majority of this countries are US based companies. So every step his taking is to boost the economy of the United States. And the token lunched, all I know is that Trump knows what is doing.

I am glad you used the word "might" because we are not certain about anything. His intentions may be pure knowing full well there is a lot to be done immediately he was sworn into that position. One way or another Trump will surely push the market into his directions and if you are in the same position you will also do same. The only thing you should remember is that people are watching, not all things can be manipulated without future consequences. I believe Trump is smart to know that. I don't care what he does to the stock market my only concern is regarding the Bitcoin market.

Trump speaks a lot, and sometimes he actually does something. I guess that's how it is with most politicians, most of the time it's just propaganda.

I often remember a comment from this forum: "If you want to make money investing & trading always do the opposite of what the masses do". It turns out to be one of the better strategies. When everyone is panic selling, you buy, when everyone is panic buying, you wait for the right moment to exit.

There are some very smart things to read and learn on this forum. So someone can choose to listen to Trump (or some other politician) or to get more involved and start reading all these topics & comments on the forum....

I saw that Trump statement too and it definitely drew my attention.   He's always been like this with the market though right.  Trying to puff it up and take credit as equities go up.   But the tariff statements are interesting notably going from 145% to 80% with China.   That's still high but it's better than before.
The market does seem to be responding positively to these signs.   I've noticed tech stocks notably bouncing back a bit.   But I'm not fully persuaded this is the end of the bear market just yet.   There are still a lot of economic difficulties that need to be tackled.
The China material is particularly hard to read.   If they actually do hammer out some kind of settlement that may be a serious catalyst for a meaningful surge.   But we've seen Trump make great claims about deals before that didn't materialize the way he described.

At this point it doesn't really matter. Trump has been engaging in what seems blatant insider trading, selling shitcoins to the public that know no better and much more, but the president of the US just has too much power. Before he won the election, I would have argued that he may have ended up with a lot of fines, probably not in jail because rich people always have some bs to get around it in most cases, but right now as the president of the US he just can exonerate any of the wrongdoings he and his cohort did and get away with it. Biden did the same when he pardoned family members, friends and so on, so they are all the same, if they get the cheat codes, they will use them.

I believe that Trump could only start claiming his victory ONLY IF he could convince Jerome Powell to pivot to REAL Quantitative Easing, also known as BRRRRRRR-Money-Print.

Because if there's no real Q.E., then we should expect that the market surges we're currently seeing now are NOT sustainable. We'll probably see deeper corrections later in the year.

So was this all a big buy the dip opportunity and bears will once again be left behind holding big bags of cash, or are we going to see a continued bear market for a while?

Why is he going to dictate what other countries should do to start buying stock, pretty enough, thats some sort of sketchy footstep as to why Trump should pick up such announcement, whats his hidden agenda for telling people such, thats pretty manipulative and might favor his profit set somewhere in the stock in his mind.
Although the visit to various countries about the reduction of tariffs plan on the goods are a good steps to make, but why not all the countries but selected ones?
