Nigeria has always been on the top chart of countries promoting the adoption of Bitcoin.In Africa, Nigeria is the top first country leading the adoption of Bitcoin,for Nigeria to be involved among the top ten countries promoting Bitcoin it obviously means the youths are actively involved in trading and investing bitcoin.The question the Op asked it's complex to give a real statistics because of the anonymous nature of Bitcoin.Base on assumption I think people in the south has the highest number of persons interested in Bitcoin than other regions in Nigeria.Though,I haven't travelled to all the states in Nigeria that was why I said it's very complex,but I've been to few regions in the south and from my observation they're actively involved in cryptocurrency _{I mentioned cryptocurrency because I don't know if it's bitcoin}.

I go talk say na South, you know say we no get any data to prove this, but from the people wey i personally sabi wey dey into crypto, i go talk say crypto dey more popular in the South than in the North. Honestly i don't see how the curiosity of the OP in this topic will spark any controversy or a regional war as you said. Cryptocurrency is not an allocation that is given to Nigeria to say that one region is benefiting it much more than the other regions. Even in the world at large we all know the country that is at the top in cryptocurrency adoption not to talk of a baby country like Nigeria that even as we are claiming that we are into cryptocurrency, only few people are really interested as the rest are just forming to be involved in cryptocurrency whereas they are not. I don't really see anything wrong in this thread because if cryptocurrencies become adopted by the Nigerian government, don't you think they will care to know about the statistics of each region so it's no big deal.

I talk like this because, omo our pastors them no Dey gree o, e no hard them collect offering and tithe for Bitcoin. We are talking about cryptocurrency, why will it have to spark up any unnecessary rift. It means that people contributing on this topic is taking things personal. We are in a public forum where everyone has the right to express or contribute their own opinion without any regional sentiment.

Nobody can tell where the highest crypto users are in Nigeria and whatever answers that you give is based on your own assumptions and there is no evidence to back it up. However, I believe that crypto users will be more in big cities like Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and the rest.

And I am always proud of Nigerians because they have taken the adoption of bitcoin seriously, and that is why there is no way that Nigerians will not top because no matter the circumstances, we always learn, and even at first, a lot of people called it a different scam, and most people would have regretted why they did not invest in bitcoin on time because we know that if we don't adopt it early, we as Nigerians will miss this opportunity. And when it comes to trading, currently, there are a lot of trading schools out there, and people are really ready to learn. There is no way that people will not learn, especially when they start seeing the profit. Even the older men are now seriously having an interest in bitcoin because they have seen it as another opportunity for them to save their money, even as far as retirement money, to show the level of trust.

The southern part of the country, don't get it twisted, they're highly enchanced with good knowledge of cryptocurrency and specifically knows how the market operates. The northerners also have a good knowledge of cryptocurrency but they're divided and specifically specialized in raring cows and massively into farming. They do what they do best and it's all achievable to a common goal.

The south embodied of different sectors and categories of humans. Everyone have a goal to achieved and its been quite a smooth run for them, but for some, It's kind of related to rough path. I've been in good touch of the south young minds, they're productive and just want to grow and flow with the world advancement. As we all know, learning never ends.

Na person wey don go all parts of the country before go fit answer this question. I don stay for western region before, and currently I Dey for northern part of the country, but if I wan compare this region, then I go talk say na western part get more people wey get interest in bitcoin, and dem get people wey Dey invest in bitcoin pass the northern part. Make I no lie na just few people Dey talk about bitcoin in the northern part, plenty people wey Dey north here no sabi about bitcoin self, and no be say na rural areas dem Dey ooo, most of them Dey urban areas, and some fit tell you say Dey never hear about bitcoin before self, but e go hard wey you go see educated youth for western region wey go talk say him never hear about bitcoin before.

I don't even give this a thought, like who among Nigerians is more involved in Bitcoin than the other? I don't see it as necessary, and also the gender kind of thing where they also look at who is more involved in crypto than the other. Most people don't like coming public with their interest in Bitcoin, which, if you are to make any survey, you might not get accurate, as it's not everyone you can get their correct details about crypto. From the little i understand the area dominated in cryptocurrency and Bitcoin activities is the southern part of Nigeria, because from our forum discussion you will be able to know that is for the active members.

Although I no think say any statistics de to backup anybody argument but all di same we are free to make our own assumptions. According to di number of people wey I don encounter wey get interest for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general na southerners dem be. I never encounter anybody from di northern part of di country wey get interest for cryptocurrency but ofcourse na just my personal experience. I may not be able to chose any region where Bitcoin is more being used in Naija. I have seen people from the north, south and west involved in bitcoin and since there is not any statistical and analytical tool for it, we can’t say for sure the region that have the highest number of people that are into bitcoin.

Also, since owning bitcoin is now also seen as crime to some security operatives, not all of the people involved in crypto will want to showcase it online or on their social media pages that they’re into it. Privacy is important and anyone that build on that which is important, we can’t also tell if they’re into crypto or not in the region they belong to.

Another place I feel we can get a good statistics of people that are into crypto in general and not only bitcoin, is the exchange where merchants there display their names. From this platforms, through names you can tell to some percentage the region a person belongs too even though they don’t say it out, so we may also get to know from there how many people are into crypto (bitcoin) while taking a p2p service there, although results here may also not be accurate.

It will be very difficult to make the correct assumption, the only way to find out the correct information is to do a research about it which will take months to complete because it will require you going from one state to another to carry out some survey, but what's only known is that Nigeria is among the to country involved in Bitcoin adoption.

There's no accurate region we can say for sure that Bitcoin is popular, Bitcoin is quite in every area but i think the East and Soth zone areas will be more popular not sure but statistically it can be

There is no real data that has been given out by any one which try to do a survey on the rate of crypto currency adoption level in the country so to me I don't see the reason why we should compare and assume things that are not feasible with no proof what we should be more concerned about is how crypto currency especially Bitcoin is doing well with new person's adopting Bitcoin everyday because Nigeria is one of the countries that has highest level of crypto use today


Nigerian are one people that are open to new ideas and innovation in a bid to utilize it and Bitcoin is one of such things and Nigeria has been able to seize the opportunity that Bitcoin has offered so every part of the country is involved in Bitcoin related activities wether it's investment, trading.

Without any tangeable data in place, we can't really point to the region that has the highest number of bitcoin holders in the country. From the thread on the local board where introduction is being carried out, there seems to be more of people from a particular region of the country but that is not enough factor that can be used to ascertain which region has more bitcoin enthusiast than others.

The north are quite good at doing there thing on a low key without necessary being too loud about it, the southern, western and the easterners are more known to being loud which might make it look like they are more into bitcoin and bitcoin investment but the reality is that if actual figure is being computed, the reality might be a bit far from what most of us presume.

You're on point mate it's hard to tell which region has more enthusiasts of crypto in nigeria. During the airdrop season last year, i believe all region participated in crypto airdrop due to its profitability but aside airdrop, my instincts tells me that more crypto enthusiasts exists around  the northern and western region of Nigeria reasons being that, this regions possess large population of crypto local p2p agents on exchanges like bybit, bitget..... however this is not a factual data but just assumptions. The most Important thing is how you influence others around you to see the importance of crypto, for those who shows interest especially in bitcoin investment.

Although there are no available data to confirm this but I believe bitcoin is most popular in the Southern part of Nigeria, followed by the eastern and western regions and then lastly the northern parts of the country. I comsidwr the northern parts to be the least because of the high level of illiteracy in these parts and the lack of interests in innovations.
