When would be the real Altcoin Season?

Why does this question keeps arising repeatedly on this board?

When investors are deliberately waiting for altcoin season, obviously this type of question will keep on coming until expectations met.

With my little knowledge, there's not altcoin season that is coming, if we are still in the bull season, every coins that have intentions of pumping will do but if not, nothing. Is there any historic data of past altcoin seasons? If there is, I would love to have a look at it, so that I can understand better.

You just proved it, because a bull run should also trigger an alt season but if there is no alt season yet, then that simply means that there is no bull run too, which can be true because BTC's value haven't reached really high yet. Sure, it broken a new or another ATH but most of it are only just a recovery from our last/previous ATH.

There are alts that have shown an increase but I think this is also not too much and then most alts are still down or stagnant. Anyway, I searched for that " historic data for alt seasons " but unfortunately I can't find any, though I found this alt season index: https://www.coinglass.com/pro/i/alt-coin-season. It has a graph, price, and dates on it. Maybe that can as well help you?

I’ve briefly read some of these replies and seen some say that end of last year was the alt season. That surely can’t be it can it? We had a few 5-10x returns for altcoins but not many.

The last peak of bull run was November 2021 so 4 years after that roughly should be the next peak? So we have until Q4 this year at least to see how high Bitcoin and altcoins pump.

I expect a quiet summer like we usually have but Q4 should be the top and I’m predicting $150k Bitcoin at least and once people take profits from Bitcoin it will run down into alts.

In Recent weeks we have started seeing signs of life in Ethereum and when that finally pumps past $3k , we should start seeing some altcoins pump again.

So to answer the OP question, I am hoping we will have a good June followed by a boring few summer months with the real pump and some kind of alt season coming in Q4 which feels like a long time away but it’s only 4 months now. 2025 is going very quick, we can wait another 4 months and it will be well worth it if we get altseason we all want.

No way there is another signal to determine altcoin season is coming but its always starting after Bitcoin halving. Last year however didn't trigger the season. I guess the investors are just not up to go for altcoins anymore.  People are hooked to it after earning large sum in the previous season but now, holding a bag of altcoin isn't going to be working anymore.

My suggestion is to dump it because right now, its only BTC that's going to shoot and it may take more than a few Halving before we see altcoin season.

Terms like "Altseason", "Altcoin season" or altcoin summer don't have any official definition, and it seems like people who are most fixated about the definitions weren't even around when those terms were coined.

Everyone in here has their own definition for them and that's how it should be. They are vague terms and taking them seriously is like taking a silly meme and dissecting it, just because we thought it had some godly insight about the future.

Well I do think we can call that a 'altcoin season' if price of the alts does go with price of Bitcoin. It can be that there is big gains in price of Bitcoin and the alt coins do not have any gains.

If we see Bitcoin price with alot of profit for 'alt season' there will be profit for the alts. Ethereum, XRP, BNB, and Solana is just some of those alts that will make gains with Bitcoin if it does happen. We did not see alt coins season yet in this 'bull run'.

It seems that we are not going to see that thing especially that market is moving always in favor on Bitcoin. But let see if there's changes of the market movement and ETH would step up then got a good pump. Maybe we could see the altcoin season would start.

But looking at the situation it seems that there's low chances that it will happen. Since people are to focus on current development happening in Bitcoin and I think their would be more Bitcoin pump especially that there are lot of things still happening which Bitcoin is benefiting.
