For the seventh matchday, all Premier League teams won their respective matches, except for Manchester City who lost to Glimt. Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Newcastle all won against their opponents – but City continued to embarrass themselves and further panic their fans. So far, Liverpool and Arsenal seem safe to qualify for the next round - but Pep Guardiola will likely have to work hard to improve those chances even further.

Man City's recent performance has been very poor, not only in the UCL but also in the Premier League. After losing to Man United in the EPL, they also lost to Bodo/Glimt in the UCL. Even if they were arguing about red cards, NO, Bodo/Glimt were leading by three goals before Rodri received a red card. Clearly, their performance was very poor at that time.

With this, the top three in the UCL are occupied by three clubs from different leagues, but EPL clubs occupy more top positions than others.

I was really impressed with Liverpool performance today, because it was a very good game of football, Liverpool have been very lackluster this season, they’ve not been playing very well in recent games, playing a draw with Burnley which is more like a loose, the overall performance today was spectacular and I really enjoyed the performance, I haven’t been this happy with Liverpool winning a game this season, and right now they’re 4th in the Champions League Standings.

Well Chelsea deserves to win their game today, they were the only once playing football, Pafos just looks like a team who only came to defend, and hit Chelsea on a counter, but unfortunately the game failed them, when you look the Champions League Top 8 you will have to notice that English teams are doing absolutely fine right now with their Performance, 5 of the English teams are in the Top 8, only Manchester City that are outside the Top 8 teams in the Champions League Standings, which means that English teams are dominating in the Champions League.

Man City's recent performance has been very poor, not only in the UCL but also in the Premier League. After losing to Man United in the EPL, they also lost to Bodo/Glimt in the UCL. From the recent poor performance of Manchester City in all competitions, it has also affected their stance in the champions league and has also left them to finish not in a position where automatic ticket will be given to them to the next round as the table stands now, they’ll have to go play in the playoffs before securing a slot in the next round of the competition. It was really not what they expected against a team like that in the champions league, Boro/Glimt has further shown their lapses more and how they can’t handle even small teams with their level of performance now.

This shows the dominance that the premier league teams has in European competitions all throughout. They have really being great, so this is a record well deserving from them and i hope they do better going forward in the competition as we head towards the next round of the competition which is more fierce and leads to automatic elimination if you don’t advance to the next round after an home and away fixture game for all teams. Occupying the top three cannot ascertain how far those teams can go, it is by their performance in the competition that will tell how well they can go to even win the trophy.

Maybe they're being hunted by the trauma of their last encounter with Manchester United. It seems Manchester city are going through another series of defeat as a result of what looks like some psychological effect that is impacting the English club who lost in their last domestic league encounter against a struggling Manchester United in the Manchester derby over the weekend. And the effect of that encounter is what seems to be affecting the performance of the former EPL champions in the UCL as they have conceded 3 goals against Bodoglimt, and it doesn't look good.

A series of defeats is inevitable and this can happen if you're not careful. The drops in tension can certainly do a lot of harm and this has been seen. Clearly, the defeat during the derby has hurt City a lot and i think they're going through a bad period.

Not all hope has already being lost in the fight for the next round of the champions league for Manchester City. Their very close point gaps and many teams divided on by goal difference really shows how intense the round 1 of the competition is and how the competition will even get more interesting in the coming round. Manchester City still has a very good chance to battle for that slot once again, and playing against a team that also needs the win very passionately, it makes the game going to look tougher than ever before they’ve even played in the competition. It is the last match for round one and a very decisive one for that matter.

No idea why people doubted Arsenal, it looks quite easy and for some reason people are still looking at this like it is something shocking. Arsenal is far better than Inter, they have been all season long and yet the odds were very doubtful about the game.

I think it was mainly because Arsenal basically guaranteed the fact that they are not going to be out of top eight, so if they guaranteed their place then of course everyone assumed they would not play with their 100% and wouldn't even care if they lost. When you do not care, that could make you lose any game and that is why people may have assumed Inter may win, but the reality is that the gap of talent between these two clubs was too much and Arsenal got a very easy win.

Manchester City are struggling, this seems to be happening to them time to time and somehow Guardiola is not able to get things back to full functionality and it will cost them the league again. We all thought City will be the team mount pressure on Arsenal but they are showing signs and they are letting Arsenal slip away. Back to back losses for them in all competition and it's not looking good.

Champions league standings is looking good but surprising, certain teams haven't made it to the top 8 yet but they still have an opportunity to make it happen. Barcelona, and some other clubs needs to fight to make it there. England team's seems to dominate the top spots  with 5 English team's in the top 8, they seems to be dominating the competition this season but it's still no guarantee that the trophy is heading to England by the end.

Manchester City's loss to Bodø suggests that the effects of the defeat to Manchester United are still evident, following their setback coming just three days later in the Champions League stage. Of-course the biggest issue in this game was City's defense. They also badly missed Kevin De Bruyne's defense-splitting passes to Haaland. Also Pep's continued reliance on Rico Lewis feels questionable, and if this keeps going, it could come back to haunt him. If City don't fix these problems quickly, even teams like Wolverhampton will be lining up to take their share.

Games in champions league always have another level, they never have any impact of domestic league results or performance, currently Manchester City is on rotation just because of these, facing problems still they have enough chances to keep themselves in top ranks.

Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt have first win of this season, in last game they have done good job against Borussia Dortmund which gave them one point, now have first 3 points, must be amazing stuff from them while Manchester City having good timely wake-up call which will give them time for doing their work on their defense if they want to have anything significant in this season.
