As family members to some gambling addicts we know, it's their responsibility to handle their gambling activities, but since they fail to do that, we can give them a helping hand by giving them advice and, at the same time, try to make sure they follow up with it. People are suffering from gambling addiction and the best way these people can be helped is by allowing to stay away from what is going to make them go back to gambling. This can be a device or friends that can be luring indirectly attracting the willingness to gamble. Once this influence can be cut off, that is when the addiction can gradually disappear.

The environment plays a significant role in overcoming a gambling addiction. So addiction can be overcome when you have your own determination and support from those closest to you such as your family. Without this determination no matter how hard you try you won't be able to overcome it. Breaking out requires self-awareness environmental changes and support from those closest to you.

We invest  large amounts of money in gambling and lose. So I would say that in the case of gambling, the first thing we need to do is set a budget . I know of someone who is so addicted in gambling.who spend his time and all his money in gambling.
Which he is finding difficult to stop or control, irrespective of the consequences that surrounds it, such as relationship issues,lack of finance and emotional breakdown,many people go through so many risks just to be able to fund that lifestyle and majority of them are using gambling as there day to day activities (they make it their job) this set of people or person can loss friends, family and relationship.

It is not easy to control gamblers who are already addicted to gambling. No matter how much advice you give them, they will not accept your advice until their available funds are depleted. There are some gamblers I have met who argue that they gamble to recover the money they have lost. They lose most of the time and because of this, their family is broken. If I give them that argument, they blame their luck. Almost every gambler gives priority to their luck in winning or losing in gambling.

Addicted gamblers will not stop gambling when they have available funds, but they question your legitimacy even if you give them advice. The most appropriate way to control them is for their family members to play a special role.

Yeah that is right. Gambling can never be considered as an alternative to earn money because it is just one form of an entertainment.
It is something where the probabilities of losing money are higher than making money because of the house edge.
So such type of things can never be considered as a way of making money.
Even if we consider sports betting or skill based betting, we still need luck on our side and so its better off to consider gambling just for a fun time.

Even the most decipline gambler sometimes stop to ask themselves if their are actually in control as they think to be, this is because sometimes we can tell when we are already over gambling, in some cases I suspect that using cryptocurrency to gamble make me gamble more since in most cases I have fund's in my gambling account, and before I set aside $10-$5 each week to gamble with, but recently I noticed that i unkwonly exceed that set amount most weeks.

But how will someone refrain from spending more than a certain amount if they don't have self-control? Patience and self-control are the things that can make us have a proper budget and follow it, because if you don't have these things in you, you will not be able to control your emotions, and then you will surely go above the budget that you have decided because at that heat of the moment, you will not be thinking about how you can stop yourself from losing more money if you don't go for it again after losing, you will be thinking that you are going to recover everything or lose it all, because that's how a gambler with no self-control think.

That being said, as you said it in the beginning of your post, self-control is difficult, which is why it's not everyone's cup of tea to stop betting after incurring some losses, because the majority will think that they can recover it, and with this thought process, they start doubling their bets, and soon enough, lose everything and then start regretting and thinking about how much money they had and they have lost it all, but what's the point, right? What's gone is gone, especially in gambling.

For a person that cares to listen, advising them is a starting point to helping them because what you would be advising on is about the dangers of what they have gotten into as gambling addict. And it's only by a realisation of the dangers from how you may have given the advice that they would be willing to agree on going for a rehab as the next solution or the vacation where rehab facilities ain't available.

So you mean a person that cares to listen? Do you think the addicted person can easily stop gambling by just telling him not to? No, mostly people who are addicted will just ignore the friend's suggestion and advice, even if it came from family. That's why I am suggesting bringing that person to a rehab or a vacation without telling him is a good idea. Just like me, I'm also addicted; the only thing that changes me is going on vacation. The good thing is I vacation on an island where there is no internet signal. So even though I have unlimited data, I can't gamble because there's no network signal from the island.
