I’m amused to see people commenting without understanding blockchain. There isn’t a 75% premine, it’s 16%. After a hack, that premine was locked and now functions as a "burn address". There was also a recent update, and the latest v26 wallet has no "network poisoning." The alert someone shared was simply an open or outbound port warning on an enterprise router, which they likely misread and panicked about. I don’t know the developer personally, but he’s fully committed to this project, and I support it. It’s a solid project, and whether you like it or not is up to you, it will keep going because the developer is trustworthy and puts the community first. People can say whatever they want, but the facts remain: he’s still here, shipping new things. Let’s stop spreading nonsense. If anyone’s wondering what I know about this, I’m a blockchain developer specializing in CUDA, and I know that getting hacked can happen to anyone, even the biggest players. That’s all, man. Keep it in perspective.

I appreciate that. I've been buying FIX up at this low price, and it is defo worth a good shout !!

https://github.com/Fixed-Blockchain/fixedcoin/blob/v29/README.md

FixedCoin Core 29.0.0 - MANDATORY UPDATE

This update is mandatory for all users, node operators, miners, pools, and exchanges. This version contains critical consensus changes that will be activated at block 1000.

All users MUST update before block 1000 to remain on the correct network.

What's New in This Version

ASERT Difficulty Adjustment Algorithm (Hard Fork at Block 1000)

This version implements the ASERT (Absolutely Scheduled Exponentially Rising Targets) difficulty adjustment algorithm, replacing the old system. ASERT offers:

Faster difficulty adjustments: Reacts to hash power variations every block instead of every 3 blocks.

Improved network stability: Eliminates difficulty spikes and mining blockages encountered in previous versions.

Protection against hash power manipulation: Makes difficulty manipulation attacks economically unviable.

The ASERT algorithm is activated at block 1000. All nodes must be upgraded before this level.

Freezing UTXOs: Implementing the security measures introduced in version 26.0.0, this version continues to enforce the freezing of compromised UTXOs at the consensus level. Transactions attempting to spend frozen outputs will be rejected by all upgraded nodes. Bitcoin Core Update 29.0.0

FixedCoin Core is now based on Bitcoin Core 29.0.0, which includes:

Performance improvements and optimizations
Updated P2P network code
Enhanced wallet features
Security fixes and bug fixes
CMake build system (replaces autotools)

P2P protocol version

The protocol version has been increased to 70018 to identify peers running the updated consensus rules.

How to perform the update

Stop your existing FixedCoin Core wallet, daemon, or mining pool.

Back up your wallet.dat file.

Download and install the new v29.0.0 binaries for your operating system.

Restart your wallet or daemon.

Your node will automatically follow the new consensus rules when block 1000 is reached.

For mining pools

Pool operators must update their node software before block 1000. The new ASERT difficulty algorithm will provide more consistent block times and reduce variance for miners.

Something's wrong with your ASERT implementation. Look at how it alternates between a few blocks found within incredibly short times and then hours before a single block. I first thought block 1000 was a typo and ASERT was going to activate at 10000 but now that we reached 10000 it's still buggy

Variance happens but no way it'd be this bad and systematic with a proper implementation. The difficulty spikes you see in the explorer shouldn't happen

You need to fix your algorithm and release again a new version

Nonkyc's likely going to delist your coin again if they find out how broken the network still is

Everything is going well. We're at 1P on the 2.2 GB block and moving to 100P for the 500 million block blocks. The ASERT target is 10 minutes on average, and we've been hitting it perfectly for the past few days.
What we really need is a more stable network hash to counter auto-mining pools that are destroying the network hash.

Hello everyone,
The thread has been quiet for a long time. Here is a clear and factual update on the current state of FixedCoin.
Summary of past events:

16% premine (block 1: 1600 FIX), announced from day one.
Hack affecting these 1600 FIX → handled by permanently freezing the UTXOs at consensus level (versions v26 and v29). They are burned forever.
ASERT activation at block 1000: the transition was poorly handled → difficulty dropped sharply, resulting in ~8000 blocks mined rapidly. This had a major impact on circulating supply and price.

Fixes implemented:

Full port to Bitcoin Core v29.1.2
ASERT stabilized with reinforced checkpoints
Difficulty now adjusting correctly, blocks averaging ~10 minutes
Current block height: ~15,000+
Explorer, nodes, and wallets fully functional
Fair SHA-256 mining continues without interruption

FixedCoin remains true to its original promise: maximum 10,000 coins, immutable.
Updates continue to be released regularly. The code and the network speak for themselves.
Anyone wishing to mine, verify the chain, or discuss technical details is welcome.
Thanks to those who still quietly run nodes or mine.
What doesn’t break the chain makes it stronger.
