Along my journey, what I have come to understand is that when folks understand that losses is a normal part of gambling and then stake only that which they can afford to loose there will be this lesser tendency for them to begin chasing losses.. Chasing of loss is the worst thing that can ever happen to gambler this is coz doing so tend to ruin that person both mentally and even financially. Even though it isn't advisable to chase losses, Yet I have seen some persons who become profitable after chasing loss, but then there aren't much, there are just a few of them.

That is because emotional management is so important or even more important than bankroll management, but you are not alone in this... I've had this problem before and believe that most players who consider themselves "disciplined" have also fallen into this same trap at some point.

Truly, chasing losses is one of the factors that will bring chaos to a gambler. It's difficult to control it because our mentality is full of rage, and the only thing we are thinking about is how we are going to get back the money that we lost. The only solution we can think of while in rage is gambling itself.
I don't suggest playing in this mode because it will go nowhere. We are just rushing our money to be wasted, and they won't even thank us after we do it.

It's better if we can collect ourselves and think about how much money we lost, or we can save if we pause for a while.

Yesterday I placed a bet that has everything to do with your topic

I bet on Barcelona to win against Club Brugge in the Champions League
I thought it was going to be a win, but the score was 3x3 and at 80 minutes I decided to take a bit more of a risk so I wouldn't lose my money
I bet even more on a draw to make up for what I was going to lose

Luckily, it worked out this time, but if Club Brugge had scored a goal and won the match, I would have lost both bets and the loss would have been huge

Been there and it isn’t good, once you chase your loss, you are letting your emotion get into your head and forget your plan, there's an adrenaline rush when you are chasing your losses that you forget everything else, and you are in a hurry to get those losses, it's more off a pride, especially if the losses come from initial winnings.

I got a reminder for this a couple of weeks back. 
It was a sports bet. Ajax was the last game to win a reasonable amount of money. I just needed them to score a goal at home against AZ Akmar. They didn't score, and I lost the bet. But, there is a silver lining: You learned something which many people never learn in their whole lives. And that is going to save you from losing more money in the future.

Self-discipline is the key. Make your own rules and guidelines and adhere to them as strictly as possible. For example, I have a rule about not spending more than 10% of my disposable income per month on gambling. And if I reach that 10%, I do not gamble anymore. But it is hard to stick to your own rules when you really want to gamble a little bit.

My strategy is that I have a fixed bet deposit and betting amount per bet is sometimes uniform but also varies depending on the odds, however all happens around the fixed deposit amount.
I increase my deposit amount occasionally mostly when I hit green (when I win).

That was a strong lesson learnt the hard way while gambling, because it is obvious maybe you thought you have mastered the strategy and wanted to try a higher amount, not knowing that's where your fail will begin. Because to be frankly speaking, it's always good to stick to plan and strategies, as that's what differentiates between us and experience gamblers. But however, it is never too late to start over again from where you stop, because inasmuch as you don't give up on gambling, but you could take a break and start over again, while gambling an amount you can always afford to lose, your lucky day shall come. Because what makes us gamblers is our ability and readiness to lose a bet today, and then still come back tomorrow to place another bet.

Chasing losses is not actually a bad thing, as long as we can still afford to gamble responsibly, which means we can gamble by betting money we can afford to lose, and we know our limits. Chasing losses is still considered safe if the amount is not very large, and it all depends on each person perspective, as everyone has their own. Therefore, we should limit ourselves from excessive behavior, especially in the gambling we do, and we must be responsible for the consequences that may arise. In essence, we should not chase losses in gambling when the amount is very large, because that is almost impossible to do.

What are supposed to understand in gambling is that we have to gamble according to what our mindset directed us to do, if we go contrary to it, it will be very obvious that we may lose it all, and secondly we should also know that greediness is one of the highest thing that makes a gamblers to lose what they did not bargain for... so if you are into gambling and the you lose or you experience a lot of losses in your gambling you don't need to bet again in order to recover what you have lost because at a time you are trying to recover what you have lost in gambling your calculation will be not to be in good term do due to you will it be on pressure to make your predictions

So it is better and the quiet understandable that immediately you lose in gambling and the losing continue to occur you have to take a break at that moment so that you will not lose more than your budget..

What make us to serve money in gambling is for us to have a budget when we have a specific amount of budget for your daily gambling so nothing will make you to cross the limit if you experience a lot of losses.
