What we are seeing now is pure manipulation just like we saw on October 10th with the biggest liquidation in crypto history, the government is shut down and today marks 35 days of it being shut which is the joint longest in history.

The October 10th liquidations removed a lot of leverage from the market. Most altcoins are so overvalued because of leverage.

The altcoin market pumped 138% the last 6 weeks of last year.

The market pumped in anticipation of Trump’s policies. Everything dumped when he and Melania launched their memecoins and later his threats to impose high tariffs made things dump even more. Most coins have given up either all or almost all of those gains.

Yeah im just saying when there is a good feel that altcoins pump quick and that it would be a mistake to sell during a dump.  One of my altcoins pumped over 100% this last week and is now back at the same level it was 3 months ago.

We have QT ending in 3 weeks, QE will start, more rate cuts and Trump/China will make a trade deal.  Plus the Government will reopen soon which has also held everything back the last month.

Nothing is guaranteed i know but there are signs we are in for a good end of year and Q1 next year so those panic selling altcoins now will likely have big regrets when they see altcoins move up again.

I think the main reason altcoins can't grow in this cycle is because of Wall Street involvement and their focus on bitcoin only.

Another thing is that the number of altcoins in this cycle is too large, causing significant dilution of cash flow and not enough to trigger simultaneous growth for altcoins.

The end of QT does not mean the Fed will start QE immediately, the gap between them could be 3-18 months. Whether QE comes sooner or later will depend on the health of the economy. Likewise, interest rates and trade wars are unpredictable.
There is no guarantee that the bull market will continue into the first quarter of next year.
Therefore, whether to continue holding altcoins or sell them will depend on each person's vision and strategy.

I totally agree - the main focus right now is definitely on Bitcoin. Big players aren’t really interested in anything else at the moment. Altcoins just don’t seem to attract the same level of attention or capital flow. Until institutions start diversifying beyond Bitcoin, I don’t think we’ll see any real altcoin season.

Just look at ICP & Zcash chart last few weeks and you will know it’s not only about Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is down almost 10% last 7 days while the 2 above are up over 100%.

There may not be a proper altseason like previous cycles but there will still be a good few that go on a good enough run to make altcoins worth holding.

What is happening in December if I must ask that you have to wait till December to sell your coins, I don't think that is necessary as long as you already made some profits in the investment, why not just sell off and have some rest instead risking to wait for the future that may never come in the near time, this is altcoin marke for goodness sakes.

If you invest in altcoins and you are in profit, it is wise to sell, the market may get worse this December. You should remember that nothing is happening like in the past, so there is no guarantee that you will make a good profit this December. And I don't think we will see anything good this December. However, when I buy altcoins, I try to sell them when I see some profit. In fact, altcoins should not be held for a specific period of time, because if you lose money by investing in altcoins, it is difficult to recover. You can hold Bitcoin with a long-term goal.

I just saw this thread now. I don't know if you are still holding your altcoins bag. The market is on green zone at $93,200 as I type this post. The price started pumping yesterday however, not all crypto will follow bitcoin price uptrend. I hope your portfolio is in profit due to current pump in price.

I have already sold little part of my crypto portfolio last week when bitcoin price was at $85k+. I will take little profit by the end of this month, if the market is still bullish.

That is true, the market is doing great at the moment we should be considering how this is a good time to sell if you want to get rid of your bags. Looking at how things are getting green again a bit, do not expect them to reach all time high before you sell, if you wait that long then the result will not be good at all and you will lose it all. The best would be just making sure that you are handling it as quickly as possible and the way to do that is get out when its green like now.

You expect a surprise at the end of the year so you choose to sell the altcoins you own in December, but if you look at the history of market movements, usually the market movement will experience a decline because some investors will choose to sell and use some of the funds to go on vacation, you are free to decide at any time to sell the assets you own, but it is best to sell when you see a profit, don't expect more because sometimes the market will not move as we expect, especially now that the market is in a correction phase.

It's true that people prefer to take profit by the end of the year for vacation and to anticipate christmas. Possibly buying present or stuff that can increase selling pressure. Though, doesn't mean December will always be a red month.

every year altcoins holders waiting for the december month, and expect altcoins market will rocket high in the month, it’s just only our hope and we are waiting jan-dec but the market does not follow any fixed rules like when the price will increase and when it will decrease,
i still hold my coins because altcoins market still going in bearish season, my losses 30%-40℅, so i need to hold for bull season. if you have no lose with in your assets, you can quite, it’s depend on you.

I don't know if the Altcoin market will improve this December, but at the moment the market is limited to $90K to $92K. Since the entire cryptocurrency market depends on the Bitcoin price, if the Bitcoin price is high, then the entire Altcoin green candles tend to be long, but if the Bitcoin price is low, then the entire Altcoin market tends to be red. So in this current situation, the possibility of the green candle being long in the Altcoin market is very low, so in this current situation, if you have the possibility of making a small dollar profit, then you can sell.

It is already December and seriously, we have not seen any change in the crypto market. Most altcoin prices have not changed for the better; in fact, some altcoins are getting worse. With the current situation of the market, it is best not to sell this December, but only if you are holding reputable altcoins, because I don’t think there will be any improvement in the crypto market this December. We can even say that a bear market has started, and it may continue. So, if you are not holding good altcoins, it would be better to sell now rather than later seeing worse prices and possibly dead projects, because some altcoins will never recover again as they are gradually going down.
