I agree. To figure out which name to vote for, you need to compare the numbers with that name. It turns out you're voting for famous people, not talented ones.

In short, the one with the most alts and friends will win. The thread's author apparently wanted to get a couple of free merits, but screwed up, because at the end of the voting, he'll be in for a lot of drama.

You think I give a fuck about merit? I've been around here for a decade, I can't rank up any higher and I'm not in a sig campaign ( a close friend runs the most and could be any time I wanted to be). You are talking out of your ass and a fool. I am doing this 100% from my own pocket, as a fun thing for the community. I don't owe anyone shit tbh, and every year I run these, I always get some fool like you making things unnecessarily dramatized. Theymos, the mods, many long stand held in a high light members would all assure you, you're wrong.

Read the rules too, perhaps. the vote at the end of 7 days is not official. Theymos approached me I think the first year I ran this to add a rules component to make voting as fair as possible.

I recognize very few names in this contest, there's no Loyce or PowerGlove, or Nutildah in this competition, so, I dunno what you're on about. It is really sad what a few satoshis and a few collectibles, of my own pockets will due to people trying to win it ( I purposely decided not to have any casino or whomever sponsor the event this year because I want this to be for fun, a true community builder, etc..not a shill for advertisement).

"How the Poll is to be Run
Poll will run for 7 days. 1 vote per user. You are NOT allowed to use your alt account to vote twice. You can change your vote, of course only up until the contest ends.

Once the 7 days is up, the voting will end, but the final results will possibly not be the actual tallies/winners until Theymos comes in and implements a few things to make the voting more fair. Those things are, as stated by Theymos..“ 1) only Member+ votes will count, where copper membership does not on its own count as Member; and 2) users who haven't made a post in the year between the time of this post and 1 year ago will not be counted".

I'll fix whatever needs to be fixed, run it again if need be. I am going to leave it at that, though I've got other choice words I'd like to share with you

I appreciate this I will consider your proposal but leaning toward the poll staying the way Theymos and myself set it up year 1. It's done to be in the most fair light.

This would have been nice to know ahead of time. If you mentioned this, apologies, I missed it. As stated several times, and before starting the contest I was overseas for several weeks, unexpected personal issues and a car accident while working a full time job have made it difficult for me to spend hours cross referencing things. Anyone who's helped build photos and list before, did it in order of submission, and should be. Don't take me wrong I appreciate your help, just clarifying here

@everyone losing their minds over a free contest meant with nothing but the best of intentions, I will discuss this with Theymos, and get his advice/blessing to perhaps clog up Meta a little more with re-running the pole. I said if I made any mistakes, I'd fix them, did you all miss that too. SMH.
