This is true for many people because there are many people who gamble under high stress because when excessive stress is on a person, that person cannot bear the excess stress and may look for alternative ways to reduce the stress, which is why people participate in gambling. I would go beyond. Gambling is appealing nowadays as a last resource for prosperity, since many people find themselves trapped in finances. Living costs are too expensive, payrates are too low, and there isn't perspective of thriving when everything you earn is going directly to pay for basic expenses.

Meanwhile, these same people watch all day long on social medias different celebrities boosting fancy lifestyles, so the average citizens also want that for themselves. The question is, how could that be achieved in the economical scenario mentioned above, where many have to content with scarcity, while few live in abundancy?

Well I don't agree, gambling itself is stress, I mean without stringent planning and adherance to the plan, gambling is another major cause of stress in people's lives..

The answer is simple - lack of money, and some one who is already living a hard life as a result of not having money going online to still spend the little they have on gambling, how does this sound?
