Hi! Recently, I decided to diversify and instead of having only Bitcoin (BTC) ₿ as a store of value, I decided to buy a cryptocurrency with a greater focus on privacy and that I, as a common mortal, could mine. I found Monero (XMR) ɱ and I really like the project. Can you tell me how Monero is doing in terms of security flaws? I'm using Exodus to buy Monero and then send it to Cake wallet with Cupcake as a companion hardware wallet, on an offline phone. Are these apps good for storing Monero? I tested Monerujo + Sidekick, but it seemed that Sidekick still had a lot of bugs... and it only had support for Monero, what do you think? In June this year, when Monero is delisted from Exodus, where can I safely buy Monero? Thanks. https://cakewallet.com/https://docs.cakewallet.com/cupcake/https://www.monerujo.app/https://www.monerujo.app/sidekick.htmlI used AirGap Wallet app + AirGap Vault app for Bitcoin, but these Apps don't support Monero. https://airgap.it/offline-device/

Fair enough, I responded on the dedicated topic. The read is in HTML/CSS, with no JavaScript. To load nodes and filter them by which nodes are the spy nodes, there is an API that you can use if you wish. I am not fond of the idea of using JavaScript, but just like any node map, including those that exist in Monero, it requires JavaScript to work. Nothing is perfect. It's hilarious to see you sharing the link to YouTube on the same page as your last comment about the JS.

I'm not sure you should be using windows7 for security reasons anyway.

If you are OK not mining in the client, and will trust/vet 3rd party software it is an option for the meantime as you diagnose whatever causes this. https://github.com/feather-wallet/featherhttps://featherwallet.org/But then again... I am also an old school Electrum user. (Though Sparrow has earned a place of prominence...)

I had a thought recently that I wanted to share, still working on it.
And something in John's latest monero moon actually hits at this idea.
So, I'm not here to say whether AI is going to be a flash in the pan or it's going to take over the world or what it's going to do, who knows. But as we build these data centers full of semi-specialized processors, I wonder if there's not an opportunity for monero mining there.
Now these processors are specialized but they are closer to general purpose CPUs and they are to ASICs I think and these data centers will be built with peak loads in mind. This means at certain times of day that are probably somewhat predictable, the loads and the demands on these CPUs is going to reduce. And that will mean that they could turn some of these things off or down or reduce their power usage and that would be one really good strategy to help keep their costs lower.
But what if when they were not being used to make pictures of people with nineteen fingers or Horrible AI song lyrics or the latest mind-bendingly evil deception about some politician or something.... Instead of just idling they could switch over to Mining Monero for a period of time and then switch back over to making silly pictures when the demand goes back up.
Like I said, just a thought.
