The amount of troll in this thread shows that revived Ac will be a great success. The only people now panic are the trolls, so please don't feed these trolls.

some days ago you were one of the loudest, accusing everybody presenting proof of the asiacoin scam of "spreading fud" and only "planning to buy cheap coins."

does not look like you've learned anything. you should be ashamed.

WARNING: DON'T GET PREYED AT BY ASIACOIN BAGHOLDERS

All this "strong community" is looking forward to is to get its scam coin back on the exchanges and dump the coins before it eventually dies.

They'll tell you anything that helps them to get rid of the asiacoin bag they are holding!

Don't fall for their desperate lies! It's the very same scam coin it was 4 days ago.

Use your brain and invest into something that wasn't a scam from the start.

You can stick to your close minded opinion that a community cannot band together to fix a scammed coin. Yes, the original AC dev scammed all of us but can't we band together to make things right and even better? I am sure there will be panic selling when the new wallet comes. It is almost impossible for us to avoid that. While there are people who are going to dump their AC, there are people who are going to buy.

it's a different story to put the train wreck back on the rails and hope it will last for another mile or two and some tourists will buy a ticket because they haven't heard of the crash and think this is how trains are supposed to look like in this part of the world. your blatant greed is despicable and this whole affair is a disgrace for the altcoin scene.
That's probably where you are different in your opinion. You can only accept that we put a 'train wreck' back on the rails but we actually repaired the 'wreck' into a function state. Perhaps you cannot accept the idea that this train wreck is repaired to a usable state. Sure, I am greedy. After all, I am a 13+k AC whale. =D

If this all works out as planned, will there be rush of new coins "based on AsiaCoin"?

Then dump your AC CrunchyNut and let the markets decide what to do with AC.  Give the new devs tremendous credit for getting this far this fast.

A lot of folks asking why do all this in the face of a scam.  The best answer I read?  "Because we can."

As far as I know, this will be the first turn-around coin after a scam.  Isn't it cool to just see what happens?

Rock on!

I guess that means the work by the new team is appreciated and thought to hold value? Given the short notice we were given to act, I think we are doing rather well for a ragtag team. Kudos for Maestro1 and micryon for leading the effort!

I am 100% in agreement. There have been too many unfortunate dramas dragging the industry down, resulting in much bad press. This is an opportunity for those who believe in hard work and honesty to unite together to purify a tainted coin to be a trustworthy coin. We need to start building a culture to promote mutual respect, transparency, and trustworthiness. If we can accomplish that mission the potential growth for our industry will be massive. Absolutely, kudos to Maestro1, Micryon and others who have been working very hard to give Asiacoin a second chance. Great job.

So what is to prevent the original developer from selling more coins from the premine as we speak? Are you rolling back the block-chain to some point in the past or what, I don't get it?

Im not a coder, but as far as i know, there is a hardcode to block wallet, where the orriginal dev have these premined coins. That's the main reason for stop deposits and withdraws on exchanges and the rason why we'rewaiting for new updated wallet. Those premined coins will be, simply told, ignored.
I am a coder. I'll break it down.

Everyone can look on our AsiaCoin block explorer from the OP that wallet AKPy5ugy98yBkBCNU9Ne1bHExy5tqdq9Gu gained 3228519924.78 AC from transaction 4f2a34278389aac0b88bbb283338d4dac9314ec62e7dba0f263fc4570aa93c3b. If we go back to the first blocks, it's easy to spot that  block 1 is the original dev's premine and has a similarly large value to the dev wallet above.

As for the code fixes, look here and here for the hard coded dev wallet bans. We can all see redundant checks to block AKPy5ugy98yBkBCNU9Ne1bHExy5tqdq9Gu in ProcessBlock, IsStandard, and AcceptBlock. Check it out for yourselves. Each dev wallet ban in the code looks similar to this:
Code:
static const CBitcoinAddress lostWallet ("AKPy5ugy98yBkBCNU9Ne1bHExy5tqdq9Gu");
Code:
if (lostWallet.Get() == addressSource.Get()){
return error("CBlock::AcceptBlock() : Banned Address %s tried to send a transaction (rejecting it).", addressSource.ToString().c_str());
}

@Maestro1
We need to update the list of exchanges in the OP. Also, our multipool needs to link to the correct site in step 4 of its instructions on how to mine with them.

So far we have shared the new wallet source with the following exchanges:

Mintpal
Cryptsy
Bittrex
Poloniex
Bter.com
C-Cex
Coin-Swap
CryptoALTeX
Atomic-Trade

If you know another exchange who previously listed Asia Coin, please let me know. Our priority is to share the source to the exchanges that previously listed Asia Coin, but if any new exchanges are interested, please contact me and I will send you the details.

you forgot swaphole.

best of luck to all you guys. thanks for the revival Smiley
