Before the advent of Britishers in India, Persian was primary language in what today is Pakistan,India and Bangladesh. When Britishers came they introduced English and Persian was replaced by Urdu. Imran Khan is right in what he says about farsi.   

Lots of people from Pakistan goes to Iran every year for the purpose of Ziarat and is happening for centuries.

We can use this forum to know more about each other, which otherwise is not possible. Pakistan local board is active and friends from Iran must keep this active also.

Most of poetry of Dr Muhammad Iqbal is in Persian language. It's good to know that people of Iran still remember his poetry. There is also well know saying by Dr Iqbal on unity of Muslims:

ایک ہوں مُسلم حرم کی پاسبانی کے لئے
نیل کے ساحل سے لے کر تا بخاک کاشغر

You will be amazed to know that national anthem of Pakistan is written in Persian Language.

I am not a native speaker of Farsi language. But I am looking that anyone is here who is admiring my country.... So this is a happiest moment for me. Iran and Pakistan are the same. Because we are Muslim Ummah.

As Watche has already shared our National Anthem. Which is showing that we are not two we are one. And you admired our National Poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal so this is also a precious moment for me and for my community.

And we have seen how Iran played a unique role in Ghaza War. Our Pakistani nation always admired you on this.

There is lot of stuff in Persian language available in Pakistan which we are unable to comprehend because of little knowledge about Persian language. This local board of Persian can help us (Pakistanis) in learning Persian language or at least getting basic know how of the language. There are few members of Persian community active on the forum and they must spare some time to keep this board active like Pakistan.

It's sad to see silence of whole Muslim community on massacre of Muslims in Gaza that continued for one year. Now US has come up with plan to forcibly displace 2 million Gaza people and take over the strip, Israel has welcomed this move. Now KSA will be hosting a summit of Arab league to discuss this Trump plan, they don't care for people of Gaza they just want to make sure these Gaza people don't come to KSA and other Gulf countries.

If KSA and other Muslim countries are just buying time to live for few more years. If they continue to live in such coward manner then there turn will be  soon. Israel already has a plan of greater Israel which includes Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and large swathes of Syria, Iraq, northern Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

I think these are the best ways to learn the Persian language, and if you like poetry you'll love Persian aka Farsi, it is the language of poets.

Here is a poem from professor Mohammad-Taqi Bahar aka Malek o-Sho'ara Bahar as a token or reminiscence to Pakistan after he visited the country after its declaration of independent. It is named "یادگار بهار به پاکستان":

همیشه لطف خدا باد یار پاکستان          به کین مباد فلک با دیار پاکستان
ز رجس‌شرک‌، به ری شد به قوت توحید          همین بس است به دهر افتخار پاکستان

You know who was the first country to recognise Pakistan after it's independence in 1947? It was Iran. So our ties date back to the day we got independent.

NUML is major university that offers course in many foreign languages including Farsi. Most of poetry of Dr Iqbal is in farsi and it's still hidden from People of Pakistan because of little understanding of Farsi Language.

I did some search and tried to understand the poem of Mohammad-Taqi Bahar and that's what I was referring that through this forum we can get some understanding of farsi.

I saw a video posted by Gaza social media activist that how Arab countries are helping people of Gaza by sending fine quality of Coffins. I remember when Muslim Brotherhood got power in Egypt they opened Gaza border and removed the blockade. But very soon Muslim Brotherhood government was toppled, President Mursi was sentenced to death and Mubarak was freed from Jail. It's very much clear that in Arab world if anyone is against US and Israel then it will be removed from power.
There is some hope from Syria and Lebanon but we see Syria regime is also changed and Hizbullah leadership is killed in Lebanon.

A couple of days ago I saw the picture of the people of Gaza preparing for the first Iftar. It is the one below. A single photo that is filled with both sorrow and joy at the same time showing people who are still standing strong even on the ruins of their homes. It makes one wonder about the world we live in...

For more then one year people of Gaza looked that someone might come to rescue them or at least stop Israel from the barbarism but nobody came forward. KSA the biggest Islamic country didn't even condemned what Israel is doing in Gaza. Egypt closed it's border with Gaza while Jordan opened it's land route for supplies going to Israel. 50 Islamic countries have no interest in brutalities going on in Gaza. Israel has a plan of greater Israel which include parts f many neighbouring countries including KSA. 

Now new US president has given a plan which is immediately welcomed by Israel that US will take over Gaza and all local population has to leave for undefined period of time. People of Gaza are strong and they need to stay strong for their right to occupy there land. The world has dual face when it comes to weak like Palestinians.

The plan to ethnically cleanse Palestinians were in motion from the day occupation of Palestine began 70-80 years ago and despite advancing in Palestinian soil they haven't succeeded so far, even with 15 months of bombardment of Gaza they haven't been capable of pushing them out.

As for the Muslim world, some small dictators like Saudi usurpers or the Emiratis (who owe their existence to US regime) supporting Israel not Palestine is not surprising. But I see things from a much bigger perspective which is the "East vs West conflict" and as much as the West is united in supporting genocide and occupation, the East is not united against it as much as needed. In other words this is not limited to only Muslims.
Take the Arab-Med corridor that was one of the reasons why operation al-Aqsa Storm was executed (to prevent normalization of genocide and to shut the plans for that corridor down which would have been the end of Gaza). It is a Western plan to counter China's Road and Belt initiative (aka Silk Road) and suffocate China economically. What has China done to help Palestine that is in a war that benefits their biggest long term plan? Nothing! And that's the biggest problem.

In any case we are hopeful because we know numbers don't win wars. The entire NATO could not defeat the teeny tiny open air prison called Gaza that had nothing. History is filled with examples like that as well. Going back a decade we saw Yemenis stand against the Saudi-Emirati-US coalition invasion and won. Going back to 1980's we Iranians have our Holy Defense where Iranians with small numbers and in a way with empty hands stood against 40+ countries and repelled the full scale invasion. Going back 1400 years we have the Battler of Badr where 313 Muslims with basically empty hands stood against 1000 enemies who were armed to the teeth and won.
Victory is promise: کَم مِن فِئَةٍ قَلیلَةٍ غَلَبَت فِئَةً کَثیرَةً بِاِذنِ الله [Al-Baqarah, 249].

Even after 15 months of continuous bombardment Israel was not able to release it's hostages and now there is exchange of prisoners going on. Thousand of innocent Palestinians will be released from Israel prison and they will get a chance to start a new life.

Well it may be East vs West and we know East is not as strong and united as West is. But we just need to be human to condemn what Israel is doing in Palestine (Gaza and west bank). The Gaza conflict unfold realities of many things, once again true face of leaders of Arab countries in the region are fully exposed. Now people of Palestinian know the harsh reality that they are alone and they have to fight that war themselves.   

The examples of conflict you have given, clearly give the message that to win a war not only modern weaponry is required but also unity of nation and faith in almighty.   

The glorious Quran is full of wisdom and Allah said in same ayat:

 وَٱللَّهُ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
Allah is with the patient.

It's new year but once again unfortunate to see that Israel has started killing innocent people in Gaza. Very sad to read that Israel has blown up the only specialised cancer hospital in Gaza. Around 1000 people have been killed in last 3 days. On one side Trump wants ceasefire with Russia in Ukraine, while in Gaza he is giving full support to Israel to carry out the killings of innocent civilians.

This is a traditional setting named Haft Seen meaning Seven S's. It contains 7 items with names that start with the letter س that sounds like the English S, and each of them are symbol of something. Like the green sprouts on the left of the picture above beside the candle being symbol of life and renewal.

Then we add other stuff to it. We usually have a mirror, some candles, Quran and Hafez poems book, goldfish, flowers, fruits, various traditional sweets (the one in this image is chickpea cookies which are fantastic), Trail mix, etc. Then comes the design which is its own topic

That is very sad. Our prayers go to people of Palestine every day. But it doesn't stop there; our aid continues going to them as well (food, clothes, and most importantly weapons and some troops) after all we are fighting NATO on multiple fronts pushing them out of our region, one of which is Palestine. The others are Yemen, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, and to some extent in Iraq and Afghanistan, and so on. The problem is regardless of what the people of the region want, their rulers which are mostly dictatorships from Turkey to the Arabs are helping NATO instead of helping the region. That makes things more difficult. For example the tanker that was used in refueling US aircrafts that carry out terrorist attacks against Yemen fly from Qatar through Saudi airspace!
