Its strange how slowly the new wallet find new connections compared to the old one. Looking forward to the release version. No pressure though, take your time

hope some of btc will be invested in magi
yes mate if they will the price will rise up and the coin will grow more. good luck to us mate. . There was a big sell yesterday (maybe somebody testing the resistance of the coin) - its now back to a higher level than before the sell, that is very good news for magi. If that happened a few months ago the price would be sitting at 1400-1500 today. Now its at 2100. There are definitely more people watching the market.

Quiet weekend on the Magi forums - I guess everybody must be enjoying the sun. Trading volume is holding up - managed to get enough trades in to push some (very small) funds into Bittrex, so I'll see if I can help improve the liquidity there and when the funds increase further will work on some arbitrage. I'll also use any potential POI earnings to help the Bittrex liquidity.

Has anybody seen EGC (Evergreen coin)? It has a similar concept niche to Magi, with respects to being environmentally friendly and also having a good community. Looks like the coin is doing really well right now. To me it looks like good inspiration for the Magi community. They went from $2k market cap to >$1m https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=1272091.0;topicseen

I decided to take the plunge and use the new client on my main wallet today. I'll give that a go once the network has fininshed syncing. I added all the hosts to the magi.conf but still taking forever to find new hosts. I will see if it has found any more tomorrow.
Here are the two nodes I have on my servers: addnode=104.128.225.215 addnode=104.131.42.100 Thanks Joe, I'll add them to my wallet configuration and see if that increases the number of connections. Its strange how slowly the new wallet find new connections compared to the old one. Looking forward to the release version. No pressure though, take your time Here is a bit bigger list of active nodes we have on our pool: http://www.zpool.ca/explorer/peers?id=251Cheers

You need to add the nodes into a wallet configuration file. you need to create it in the following location %APPDATA%\Magi\magi.conf (assuming you are running a windows wallet), I think magi will pick the configuration file up automatically - but I didn't check to prove it yet

Also, does anybody know if we need to restart the wallet for the changes in the conf to take effect?

By using node=ip:port it tells your wallet / node to connect to that ip using that port, if port it's not specified it will use the default port. In this case the port is specified so then it will try to connect to that ip with that specified port. The default port for magi is 8233 so you could leave it as is, it doesn't matter. You are just specifying I want to communicate with that node on that ip on that port.

Magi had a good run overnight, up to 3210 at one stage and has settled back at around 2600-2700, a nice 22% increase on yesterday. Looks like the great efforts from the dev team and additional exposure of the last pump are paying dividends!
