After converting ISK to USD to BTC it appears the price is approximately the same as it's in Bittrex.

The price was initially set in that range.

Day 1, ISX beta test. Price is up from 7 kr. per AUR to 7.2 kr. per AUR on 2.300 AUR volume!

Strange: AUR-BTC market on bittrex is "offline". The site tells me that when I try to enter an order on https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-AUR. EDIT: it's also not possible to cancel orders and the market doesn't show up in the markets list.

In Site-Status, AUR currency is shown as "green", although their node seems to be at block 184,989 while other explorers are at 184,990.

Interesting, now we can observer what the beta-testers will do on the ISK exchange when they're "let free" Wink

I PMed Bittrex on twitter and sent a note to support. Look like they're having problem with multiple markets. Hopefully they resolve the situation asap.

Meanwhile, the ISX icelandic exchange run without problems.

ISX beta has been down today because of a bug we found this morning.

Our technical team is working on the solution, hopefully we can open up tomorrow.

Congratulations. Only 1 day in beta and already more stable than established exchange bittrex, hehe

Well if there was any problem it's not there now. I've bought and sold on market price and made limited orders and everything processed smoothly.

It's with great pleasure we can announce that Yan Crevier (Soltantgris) has accepted our offer to join our dev-team and manage all social media for Auroracoin.

We welcome Yan as our tenth member, he has shown to be very enthusiastic and resourceful in promoting our initiative. We foresee a bright future for Auroracoin and hope he will keep up with all new developments that are about to become public.

Please stay tuned, things might get busy soon...

I feel honored and will work hard connecting people with what is, in my opinion, one of the best project in crypto.  Auroracoin will soon be under spotlight - for good reasons, and I am lucky to be part of it.  ''History in the Making'' is what I have in mind when working with these guys from Iceland, Netherlands, Canada, US and Austria, and I'm pretty sure they feel the same.

There is other people here wanting to participate to this journey.  Just PM me !  To achieve our goals, tens of people will be needed.  My rôle is to develop social media auroracoin channels, and I would welcome as much help as possible.  Join me on skype, slack, twitter, PM, no matter.  AUR is easy to mine, cheap to buy, and there is not a single better moment to jump in - believe me.

Great news, but shouldn´t something like this appear on the official auroracoin discussion board? auroraspjall.is?? that is fairly dead at the moment... and newcommers will never look at this thread.

If we are serious about boosting Auroracoin in Iceland we need to use the official sites I would think.

Especially after the remark from Soltantgris that he needed tens of people to educate the Icelandic population, I guess mostly people from Iceland are needed.

I mean that any people wanting to contribute is encouraged to do so. Coding, webdevelopment, social media dev, writting, PR. We are actually 10 people working a lot on different part of the Auroracoin project. When I see what these guys have accomplished, I wonder how it would be if 10 more, or 50 more people were to jump in.

For my own part of the job, in a perfect world, i would add with pleasure :

- Auroracoin writter(s)
- Web dev
- FB pro
- Linkedit pro
- Reddit pro
- Instagram artist
- Artistic direction
- SEO geek
- Video creator

And even for people not having much time to spare, there is things to do. Share links/news on twitter, FB, forums, reddit, answers questions, post positive content everywhere, talk about Aur project within you friends/relatives etc.

We are just at the realy beginning of this new phase. We appreciate the support out there, the congratulations and all. But we will win this battle with actual labor, from a very large army of workers/helpers.

Anyone can help, and this is not a single better way to ''protect'' your investment, while be part of something very important, ''History in the making''.
