Dortmund's job is not easy against Freiburg. And Dortmund will need to perform at a higher level than they did in the Eintracht Frankfurt game. 3-0 up and they just had to let Freiburg get back into the game, of course Haaland needed to retain the GD. No other game available for me to see so I switched to my rare German football once AFCON had ended. This right after watching Gladback get the better of Bayern too. Should still expect Bayern to win their game in hand, and steamroll to the end but Freiburg will rue their chance to cement their UCL spot (heh).

Because Freiburg's main goalkeeper is infected with the coronavirus. He will not play in this match. Well I saw a big score for this match where Dortmund managed to maximize almost all chances into goals. 5 of 7 shots on target were goals and 2 of those were scored by Haaland. It was a good testament to him after a few goalless match.

Now Dortmund are only 3 points adrift of Munich who have yet to play their 19th match. But after losing to Munchengladbach in the previous match then I think Bayern Munchen will try to pay for it in the next match against Koln. Maybe a draw can be expected considering Koln is also in good form, but Bayern Munchen quality is hard to doubt to lose more this season.

And they did concede two more goals like you said. What a powerfull performence by Dortmund today. Freiburg was really good in the bundesliga so far but they got killed today. I had my money on Dortmund but was expecting a close game,but it was finished already in first half.

Dortmund dominated the game and got the result it deserved, because sometimes even though a team can dominate the game they get a bad finish. But this time Dortmund really got a perfect result but even so, even though Dortmund could control the game but Freiburg could still score a goal despite being 3-0 down at half time. Great, I didn't expect the result to be like this because I thought Freiburg could still score two goals, but what happened was that even Dortmund won very convincingly.

I don't think the displacement effect is too much. Because if I remember correctly, it was played without an audience. Both teams were equal in that respect. Borussia Dortmund played very well. I did not expect such a defeat from Freiburg. At least it could have been a draw or a one goal defeat. The score of 5-1 made Dortmund fans very happy. Surprisingly Haaland opened up post-match and talked about his transfer situation in Dortmund and that the Dortmund bosses are putting pressure on him. That is pretty unusual for him to talk so openly about it in front of cameras, but the thing is that he knows he can afford to do that. Who knows maybe even Raiola instructed him to raise his voice publicly. Haaland said he doesn't like the pressure from the bosses and timelines and that he wants to concentrate on playing soccer. Will be some interesting weeks and they are going to meet soon to talk about the overall situation.

However, every individual performance is outstanding. With 78 goals in just 77 appearances, you simply cannot deny that Erling Haaland has done well for Dortmund. He might have scored more goals, but he missed 11 games because of injury. It is a phenomenal performance by Haaland at Dortmund, but in the end they lose their best strikers to bigger clubs that have interest in them.

I was completely mesmerized by Dortmund's spectacular performance against Freiburg last night. Honestly, I was one of the people who were expecting this match to be a close and competitive one and Dortmund would have won by a one-goal gap. But Dortmund were so dominant and overwhelmed their opponent that they obtained a huge 5-1 victory. This time, Haaland scored 2 goals and it was a big joy to watch him play like this. This was his 78th goal in 81 matches with Dortmund if I'm not mistaken. What an unbelievable striker he is!
