I am looking for another level I can accumulate more IOTA, I know next year will be huge for the company and crypto. The Value of Cryptocurrencies vary very differently from the stock market. Been doing alot of research, in general people who had money in the tech bubble, either have WAY more or went broke. but the people who made it have even more money than ever before, this institutinal money is still not completely seen.

the institutional money will never be seen inside crypto because it's not liquid enough. However now that there BTC futures, they bet on or against BTC without even seeing cryto (which of course if a double edged sword). I think we will soon see a large speculator doing "something" (I hope not a big short)

I'm trying to send some IOTA to another wallet, it's pending since two hours, I have already reattached it after one hour.  Roll Eyes
That should go much faster.

Try my remote server - http://03.nl.nodes.iota.cafe:14265. If it doesn't work then check if you do a doublespending.

All in all IOTA currently to me is not a system that seems ready for the end user with all the problems of the wallet and the tangle itsself (long transaction times, some transactions never confirm, reattach, promote (looks like a work around by sending a zero transaction as first confirmation?), address reuse, slow buggy wallet).

In the moment I do not dare to move my IOTA off the exchange into the tangle because is seems there is a real risk that the IOTA get lost. Leaving it on an exchange for longer durations is also risky. The only option is selling it for something else.

Has anybody lately tried to withdraw iota off an exchange? Does it still take around a week?
I tried yesterday to send a transaction between 2 of my own adresses, still not confirmed. Does this depend on the amount that is sent?
I tried send to exchange from wallet but to no avail.
Few days ago was made a new wallet  and people says that they fix this problems.
Need to check
I sent IOTA from Bitfinex to my IOTA wallet yersterday. No problem, only 10 minutes between exchange and wallet. This is wallet 2.5.5
I'm trying to send some IOTA to another wallet, it's pending since two hours, I have already reattached it after one hour.  Roll Eyes
That should go much faster.

The single most important first step to send transaction is to check if the server you get connected is synced. The servers are not always synced. To check the synced status, you can compare the two milestone numbers (in the nodeinfo under Tools) in your wallet to the most recent milestone number in the #botbox of the Slack. If all the three numbers are same, your wallet or your server is synced. If they are not same you need either wait for them to be same or change a server.

After you have done the above first step correctly, you can make the transaction. I would say 80% of times your transactions will get confirmed in 30 minutes.

If your trasanction does not get confirmed in 30 minutes, you can do the Promoting (previously called Reattaching). You will see it if clicking the bundle next to the transaction in the History in your wallet. You can do the Promoting once every 30 minutes. But make sure you do the first step to make sure your wallet is synced first every time.

If you do the above steps correctly 99% of your transaction should get confirmed within one Promoting and most will be confirmed without Promoting.

If you have a problem with your windows or android portfolios (IOTA that have disappeared), know that the IOTA team has made available a site to repair your seed and instantly recover your IOTA
https://iotarepair.org

that looks like a phishing site to steal your IOTAs.

The very fact that we have these kind of problems that present the phising opportunities shows IOTA is far from ready. You don't see these in other coins....

I agree. Its been holding tight even with the whole BTC/BCH debacle. And when it pumped early December it went 4x in SATs even though BTC was pumping crazy which you rarely see. I see a great investment opportunity and at the very worst a good hedge against a falling BTC

You had an amazing chance to enter this morning (European time), I missed too unfortunately. IOTA went down to 1.1 USD, due to the Bitcoin huge dip. Just pay a bit more attention these days, plan your orders and I think the time is very convenient for investment in IOTA.

So many articles that IOTA will be next bitcoin. Looking that somebody want to make grat pump and dump. For me it is just manipulative strategy, because I don't see real reasons for such rally of price!

Ever some coin will replace bitcoin in the first place. Why not IOTA? Especially if it will overcome some of technical difficulties.

Hi,
Does anyone know how one can manage to convert remaining decimal part left (eg. 0.98100000 )
in binance into other currencies bnb/eth/btc...

(I don't have an intention to sell any iota in the short term, just curious)
thanks

I have no access to the Slack. Is there any other way to check if a node is synced?

I have a transaction to bitfinex stuck since 20hrs now. I used the latest wallet and have already promoted 2 times. No idea what is wrong. But somehow nobody even seems to care that it is just not working. Everybody seems to just buy on exchanges and never withdraw.
