Holding my bag but extremely unprofessional for the kids to make a move like this.
You need to plan ahead and be able to foresee things that will happen.
Young business people make this mistake way too often.
And its only experience that makes them learn.
Unfortunate in this situation that all of us investors are on that learning ride with the dev team as well.

Never mind, you, the matured, experienced and wise man gave money to the university student and a German lawyer-wanker, the LISK scammers. It is "unfortunate", isn't you idiot?

on the lawyer. he did fail to reply to my ICO due diligence email, which i consider to have been unprofessional.

What do you expect from a wanker who gave his name to such blatant scam?

Send me your personal details, once I have more time (end of the week) I will forward it to the German law enforcement to press a charge against these fraudsters.

It is not fair that 85 % have to wait to 15%...

I completely agree with you.

That's wrong. 44% are waiting for 56% to validate their passphrases. The number of generated passphrases doesn't mean anything. The number of validation does.

We get MANY (like A LOT!) of support requests every day to reset the passphrases. I already prepared the email list with over 2700 unique email addresses which didn't validate their passphrases, we will send out the first email today.

are you serious?  You were saying EARLY ON that Generated passphrases are important and VALIDATION WAS NOT!

Over the last couple of days it became more and more clear that people were just generating passphrases and didn't save them.

Tag me in when/if you need help.

You have my contact info.

If there was an ulterior motive for the delay, I'd guess it's Waze.

If Lisk can be officially bought and sold on April 11, I've heard a lot of people express that they want to dump some Lisk for Waze since the first day of that ICO is April 12, and you get a 20% bonus on that day only.

If you support Lisk, this is probably a good thing.  ICO investors might be less likely to dump their Lisk if they don't have a good reason for the funds.

NOTE: Yes, I have a Waze signature.  I support both projects which is exactly why I've been seeing people talk about both projects. I  follow both communities.

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011:
"I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00.  Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/"  ...sigh.  If only I knew.

I had a feeling that this may have been the real reason too. Strange that Waves (Waze???) ICO starts on 12th just after the Lisk mainnet launch on 11th... and that too with a 20% bonus. Not insinuating anything but that is just bad timing.

I suggest not to send personal details to this guy. He will use them in his next scam. Regarding German law enforcement - he already contacted USA, China, Russia, Batman and Superman regarding another project. You see how "sane" he is, lol.

I'm excited to see some dapps.  I plan on using React and Redux via webpack in the frontend of my dapps.  Anyone else use React here?

+1

I'm actually taking an online course here to learn how to build Apps with React with Redux:

https://www.udemy.com/react-redux/

I plan on making some serious money from my own Lisk Dapps pretty soon  Grin

Yeah React is the way to go for frontend development these days, good luck with your course!

In a week, people will be bitching about the next ICO delay.  In three weeks, people will be rewarded for the delay...

Suck it up...

What a bunch of cry babies  Grin

First and foremost, when you invest your coins into an ICO please read the small print. When you are buying the coin you are technically, in a legal sense, donating it. So, it's actually their money. Second, go back and read the announcement. It said April 11th if everything goes well and everyone generated passphrases. I'm just too lazy to copy and paste it.

I think some of the cry babies are those who wanted to flip their Lisk into Waves, even though I guess they planned to sell for whatever they could get off-exchange? It's not like if a coin is released on the 11th, it necessarily hits an exchange that same exact day. Waves buy-in (optimal) is on the 12th. So that makes little sense really to cry about.

I also expect some of the cry babies to simply be those who didn't buy-in to Lisk from the start, or those who want to catch a dump below ICO levels. FUD is useful in that case.

Otherwise it'd be people acting against their best interest, bashing a coin they still own. Crypto can be silly sometimes.

Exactly that's what i was asking before investing in the ico hence the promises it was delayed already 2 times first it was estimated to end of march and then before ico end it was postponed to 11 April. Now again to end of april. Extremely unprofessional i must say. Your luck is that there is no company behind lisk because when a company is making an ICO and does not keeps the promises upon the live stock launch, the company is good for a court attack.
If you are so overwhelmed with the development just outsource the manual key generation/restoration and dont fuck with 93% of the people because of 7% stupid or malicious investors

This thread is so entertaining sometimes.

Do most of you people even know what you invested in? A short delay and the *throw my monies at you and now give me ROI* crowd starts panicking. To all you guys, i ask, why? Why do you throw your money at things you clearly demonstrate that you do not understand. Things like not saving private keys make me think if there was any reason other than *making ROI on my monies* that made you even look at crypto.

If a large majority of the lisk *community* is full of such people, then i think there is an extremely exaggerated notion that Lisk already has big *community*. The reality is that lisk will have a large community when the majority of holders are people who understand the crypto landscape, know how to code / test or know how to shut their mouths and accept the risk they took if they have nothing else to offer.

I hope lisk succeeds, i really do. However, i think that it is clearer than ever that there are a lot of weak hands bagholding the ICO tokens that will want to get out cause they don't understand the real risks of investing in a cryptographic software token and are just looking for the next *train* to *hop* on to.

- Peace

Finally someone with brains.

I think most real holders are on the Lisk forum and not here.

All the crying people here are the weak hands crying that their money is now frozen for 2-4 weeks.
