what the hell is that error about shutting down!?
Ha, I did say in the other thread you can see all the awful stat you want what stat dude? got it.. so all of us are getting that error Yeah, don't stress about it. What your pool is reporting is what's important. If that's not broken, don't try to fix it.

the "screen -r" command re-attaches to an already runnning window. Is cgminer always running in its own already running window by default?

I did when I had one of the 4 PCI-E connectors unplugged. Once I plugged it in (while powered down - obviously) it went away.

luck of the roll probably but perhaps they tune Saturns differently... or cooling makes a big impact.

Because of less heat, thus better performance?

Received my Jupiter today. One of the large fans in the back (not the heatsync fans) seems to just not work. Should I not be mining?

There's a script to keep it running when it crashes. It should always be running if you like money.

Connect it to a desktop pc if you have one and see if it work there.

My 2 hosted Jupiters are still MIA but I did get one delivered. Two fans came off the heat sync but after fixing that the unit turned on without issue. The only thing that drove me nuts was a bad network cable and the Eligius pools seemed to be down.. (pool rate dropped under 10 th/s, so it appeared that the pool was having issues) I did use a paperclip to get the power supply turned on but I don't want to keep it like that so I just ordered something to make it a bit more clean. ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/JUMP-START-ATX-EPS-24-PIN-POWER-SUPPLY-WITHOUT-A-MOTHERBOARD-MADE-IN-USA-/261270136936?pt=US_Power_Cables_Connectors&hash=item3cd4e9e868) To find the unit on my network using a windows machine I used NMAP (nmap -sP 192.168.85.1/24). The Jupiter shows up as a Texas Instruments device. Grabbed the URL and used a browser to configure the unit. For now I changed pools to BTCGuild and hit apply. Seconds later I saw hashes hitting the pool. I didn't change the firmware, currently running .91. Hash rate is between 560-570 (97.2% accepted shares). At the beginning (first 20 minutes, it was showing 80%-85% accepted but it appears that it got less errors over time) The unit is super quiet. Sounds like a desktop computer with an SSD. The case is currently off since I had to fix the fans and was in a hurry to get it up and running. Tomorrow I'll put the case back on and change back to Eligius. I'll probably setup a failover pool but want to make sure that won't mess with any updates KNC will be pushing out. For now, I have no reason to upgrade the firmware as the unit is working just as KNC said. I wish I had my other two units though! Good luck everyone!

Been running for about 2 hours, currently averaging 509.7 GH/s according to cgminer. My 5sec average is consistently above 550 GH/s though, so maybe there's some low, old data that is influencing the average. We'll see by tomorrow morning. [edit] also, error rate seems to be high at about 6.8% (if i'm calculating correctly: cgminer's HW/A).

My second hosted Jupiter is only mining at an effective hashrate of 300GH with massive HW failures. Bad chip? Insufficient cooling?
