My second hosted Jupiter is only mining at an effective hashrate of 300GH with massive HW failures. Bad chip? Insufficient cooling?
hosted where?

Try a manual restart of cgminer. S then C IDK why but when mine restarts from the script I get these errors and when I restart manually it clears up. Perhaps some clues would be in the missing source code...

FWIW you could also quit cgminer (hit q) and then do a "restart -r 0" to restart (in zero seconds).

It sounds like a lot of units are just not working right. The last few pages are scary.

Don't be afraid, plenty of miners working just fine no reason to complain hence no post. I get 550 Gh/s with both units I received this morning with 0.93 updated; no crash no noise no heat no "fumes" nothing but hashing. IMPRESSIVE Kudos to KNC

If your miner isn't performing, make sure one or more of the fans hasn't fallen off the heatsink. They're just on there by friction mainly. They click in, but rough shipping can dislodge 'em.

I have a day 2 shipping order, still don't have the tracking number Ditto here - two separate day2 units with no tracking number - they've been "in progress" since October 1st - and two 35x units that were in the first 500 ordered - supposed to be shipped by order number position - that are still just sitting at PAID.
