so why even change my status to "in progress"??

what does that actually mean? Either my unit is finished and ready for shipping or it's not. In progress sounds like something that takes weeks or months, hell its been in progress since june, when i paid.

Agreed.  It's strange to change the status then just let them sit.  The "we'll get around to it when we can" vibe I'm getting is starting to become reminiscent of BFL's transparency.

I'm beginning to think Sept 30th was a 'dog and pony show' to say "look we made it in time for September" when that really wasn't the case.  Now they are solving issues.  Like boards catching fire and units that aren't hashing anywhere close to what they should.

Never saw BFL compensate clients for delays...but yeah once again i understand why burnin won't work with customers anymore.

Most aren't getting compensated at all.  Only the Day 1's getting hosting.  And my biggest concern is that everyone else is being held up now because of them.

If we all get compensated then I'll shut up.

Just received my third Jupiter (Australia).

to give some indication on order #/payment date

Order #: 10XX - Payment Date: 6/5/13 - Ship Date: Oct 3rd - Received Date: Oct 8th
Order #: 10XX - Payment Date: 6/5/13 - Ship Date: Oct 3rd - Received Date: Oct 8th
Order #: 14XX - Payment Date: 6/10/13 - Ship Date: Oct 4th - Received Date: Oct 9th

I was in 1-500 group for a very low order # in that initial range prior to actual orders.

Edit: Also in regards to condition after about 8 different stops on their journey, total 'damage' 1 fan fallen off  Grin

The reason they are getting compensated is because the order queue is sacred and they are being skipped.  If they were to honor the order queue then no miners would be being shipped.

Congrats.  Glad to hear damage was minimal.

Sounds like order # and pay date doesn't mean squat.  The pre-register period is what mattered above all.  In that case I might be waiting a while.  Lame.

That is fine and it makes sense.  But we're all on Day 7 or Day 8 now if you haven't received a tracking #.  And they were supposed to be 24 hours apart between 1 & 2.

Has anyone gotten a refund on hosting with KnC and switched over to another provider successfully?

I asked if I could get a refund for hosting and just ship the unit but they will offer NO REFUNDS.  period.   They wouldn't budge and that's that.   I'm waiting it out (for now)

But they still refund for November orders, correct?

She did mention that October units, so I think November units can be refunded.  I can't say for sure.   Then again, if you have a november unit you can get a refund in a number of ways so I don't see why they would deny you.   I'm sure I could try to get a charge back since they did not deliver the two units yet and have no ETA but I think that is jumping the gun.   As far as paying out 1 BTC for each day,  I've been mining for almost 24 hours and it looks like I'll be just under 1 BTC.   I did have some down time so that makes me think its fair but not ideal.  I'm sure the guys at KNC have not slept.

I'd have bought more, but the PayPal anti-fraud unit called me and wanted to know more about all that money I was sending overseas, what I was buying exactly, and told me to "cool it" or they would have to lock my account pending "further investigation"...

Sadly, the US has become such a police state that any transaction over $1000 is subject to investigation.  All the Paypal person would need to do to cause me a world of hurt would be to whisper "money laundering" to the right ear, and I'd find myself in an enormous amount of deep-shit.  All bank accounts and everything else I owned confiscated, and my person disappeared into a prison indefinitely, all Constitutional rights suspended - without a trail or a chance at bail - under the NDAA.

Even if that all came to nothing, I'd never be able to board an airplane again.  So, I just "cooled it", as recommended.

We will be sending out login details to the people going live today and we will have more boxes online in the hosting facility tomorrow.

Is anyone with hosting actually live yet?

Another day down and day 1 hosting order still waiting.....

They should have definitely let us know that they weren't anywhere near close to being ready for hosting especially for day 1 orders, you telling me there was no kind of inkling, and they had no clue that they wouldn't be ready for hosting from day 1? - "within hours of production"  if they even gave us a heads up notice and said guys were a week behind schedule for hosting I would of been cool, and just got a refund for the hosting and changed to shipping. This is bs.

I am happy for you all that did get yours though, you made the right call, for us hosters were leaking bitcoins by the day and counting.

I feel the 14xx shipment date is good news!  July orders start in the 3000 range I think.  Production rates have likely stabilized at a higher rate this week than last so we can probably expect more than an additional 1500 orders filled by this time next week, possibly more since Merc's will be faster to build.

My Saturn is hashing at 250 - 256 Gh/s.

However regularly cores are being disabled ("due to more than 10 HW errors) and then after a while enabled again only to be disabled shortly thereafter again.

During this process hash rate goes down to 150-200 Gh/s.
In the time the cores are disabled 5sec average is mostly around 266 Gh/s.

So I get the feeling that it would be better if those cores were disabled once and for all.
But maybe the new upgrade will fix this issue.

I summed up the cores that are being disabled: 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 26, 29, 33, 34, 35, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, 46, 47
Probably even more but those are the ones I have noticed.

What about you guys? Are you getting similar symptoms?
Is it normal?

may not apply but someone said on the kncminer forums to check you heatsink fans etc all blowing the right direction...some folks said they had to fix ..not sure it applies but figured i'd post it

So, initial order numbers in the 1-500 group, after realignment for orders that were canceled or went unpaid, fell into 1000-1500 range?  How is that?
