I can confirm is a stale party indeed, flushwork seems not very good. Got a huge rate of stales.

I think the flushwork is some weird cron job.  Both my Jupiters showed the flushwork line at the same exact time

I do not think it is doing it intelligently

They seem not to be handling well the flush work at pools request, they are sending a lot of bad work and hence the stales and the lower hashrate especially on the pool

I do not think the capacitors are bad, I am almost certain that they are not being placed correctly.

The pic that I linked in my last post shows the cap in question being skewed. Mine also was similar, but not quite as much as the one in the link.

Im pretty sure that apparent angle is a result of the fire/explosion, no?

I don't think so, but I didn't witness the failure, just the aftermath.

It would have needed to reflow itself, but just a wee bit goofy?

2 of the pics I have seen show the cap in the original position.
1 pic shows 2 caps moved and 2 parts missing.
1 pic shows cap ofset in a direction opposite direction of exhause gasses from explosion.

Small surface mount parts self align during reflow even if they are placed slightly crooked due to surface tension of melted solder. It's cool to watch. Smiley

They were probably safeguards/margins in case some terminals did not work. In any case, no one promised 6 ports. I expect to be able to upgrade Saturn to Jupiter, but not further.
AHEM! This photo is what they describe as their controller board and you see 1 2 3 4 5 6
 https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-39
Yes, you see them on a picture describing the slogan. It does not say anywhere that all 6 will be in use.

I am more worried about those capacitors. Everything else seems like nitpicking.
So you don't care if they sell 7000 Jupiters in China in the next month or two? Maybe in China they have another bitcoin, unrelated to the one you mine?

KNC promised to take care of the customers who gave them a free loan of millions to start their business. This ^ does not do that.

I will admit I was pretty annoyed when I seen them open a Chinese version of the website.  I take it the network protection statement means nothing now?

On the flipside, how many Chinese can actually afford these miners?

Fucking millions. They aren't all riding bikes in coolie hats these days. In my local uni there are 5 to 10 thousand chinese students and coming to live here to study for 4 years with no finance isn't cheap. They are a long way from poor.

China will be massive. Bitcoins are a lot more useful for them than for us. Remember the gold mining farms they used to run?

Check the ratio of mercs bought , China almost equal to the US and it's same for all luxury car makers. They have loads of cash to spend http://www.autoblog.com/2013/10/05/mercedes-september-sales-best-in-87-years/

What OS?
For me, I looked and looked.
Nothing showed up like described... "starts with C8. .." I saw a post that said they were Texas Instruments. Wireshark listed 2 as TexasInstr... there was a note in the descriptor.
"who controls xxx.xx.xxx? go to yyy.yy.yyy"
I plugged the yyy.yy.yyy into my browser and the gui popped up.

I only majored in IST, I don't work in that field.

Perhaps they should have hired you and con prior to shipping not after.   In my business, it is usually cheaper to do it correctly than to try and clean up a mess afterward.

Anyone get a status change on their order that is not Day 1 or Day 2 with a pay date later than June 18th? sbfree, did you ever get a status change other than "in progress"? You're the latest order I've seen so far. I wanted to keep the shipping log updated, but have jack squat for good data. KnC CS is nice, but don't know what the factory is shipping at the moment.

Thanks in advance!

I just checked my acct. on KNC, still 'in progress' and no emails. Arousedrhino, i believe was in around 19xx, and in progress, has said he received tracking number...i think his pay date was june 18th (not sure though), but item hasn't actually moved....

arousedrhino, clue us in, thanks.

hmmmm.   Luke Jr after the fact/fire, or Con and Kano before shipping product to customers.   Not sure what makes you feel better as a investor/customer, but I know where I fall on that spectrum.   But, I may be more risk adverse with my money than most.
