it's not, the beta was explicitly to address die zero, but anyone can apply, 9.8.1 production - there's some minor improvements, but Phoenix your boxes are happy as they are... AAAWwwww..Cmon' O'rama.... You know, that I know, that you know I know that you know, that Ewok spends countless hours tweaking for perfection... So when a firmware comes out talking about improvements.... Ewok will waste no time tryin'!!! So when you refer to yourself in the 3rd person, you give yourself a nickname? Creepy! Lol. My Aussie partners call me that...it stuck....lol BTW...ASIC-K... Me too, 0.98.1 Beta seems faster. period.

Unfortunately the new firmware did nothing for me. Not surprised though, I don't think new firmware will fix this:

Well 0.98.1 did not do it for my dead die even with increasing the temperature to 65deg. Looks like RMA is the only way to get 500+ hashing. Will post how it goes.
I have the same issue; the new fw didn't fix the problem. Try getting the temp to 83-85c(max) and let it stay for a minute or two. Make sure you are constantly monitoring the temp. Make sure to use the BertMod 0.3 so that you can tell when the VRMs kick back in. You'll see the output go from 0A -0.37A to 46A+ As soon as all the VRMs are on, let it cool back down SLOWLY (you gotta play around with the airflow.) Let the temp sit above 70c. Do it ONLY for the bad board. If the temp drops below 70c (at least for me, for other it has been as low as 65c), the VRM will shut off again. I have two bad VRMs on one of my boards. I have the front fan, the heatsink fan, and a rear exhaust fan for my good unit. For the bad one, I only have the front fan on (heatsink fan off, rear exhaust fan off), and I have a small piece of folded paper in the way to stop some of the airflow hitting the VRM. EDIT: Seems I came to be the first on the 1000th page, so I'll just post this here

Doesn't surprise me, it's about the only thread with a load of customers who actually have a rig delivered to talk about. Best of a bad lot really. At least they delivered even if they messed a lot of stuff up...most seem to fail that step.

Damn! Lost on betsofbitcoin, betting that Bitcoin would hit $1,000 USD before this thread hits 1,000 pages. Maybe Luke can help me find a loophole. Fake Edit: Found one! USD was not stated so I'm claiming it was for CNY. ~TMIBITW

One thing I would love is this thread to slow down, I'm almost considering hiring someone to read me the posts in Morgan Freemans voice.

0.9.8 has worked the best for me so far, I recommend you at least try it. 0.9.8.1 was crap for me, 30 less Gh on a Jupiter.

What could be better than getting up @ 3am to see how much you made during the night? I love this shizzle! Gox @ 227, XBT @ 212.... Just reached 50% return, day 19 But according to Croppo, they aren't worth a dime..... I better just give up then.... Hahahahahaha
Can I hate you now? :p Don't hate, just envy that he is 50% towards ROI. I wish I can say the same thing I'm "getting there" got mine (sic) on the 16th Oct im about to hit the 27 btc mark with my jupiter, received the device oct 12. hm... i started with 6 jupiters also oct 12th, they have made 130 so far. but that is only 21.6 per machine. yours must be a class a ... You guys are the lucky ones, I received my 22XX order on the 27th and have only mined 7 BTC on my jupiter since then (BTC Guild) At least i havent had any hardware issues and am mining away at a steady 565GH/s But the lost time makes me think ROI is impossible for me. If i had received it on 15th October I would have mined an extra 15 BTC. Of course i knew this was a risky venture but i cant help but feel a little let down by the delayed shipment

Upgrading from 0.98 to 0.98.1 and then re-enabling all cores has increased the pool reported hashrate of one Jupiter from 547 to 568GH, one Jupiter from 534 to 607GH and one from 513 to 543GH. Unfortunately this will not come close to compensating for the 33% increase in difficulty due in 12 hours. http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

went from 138GH/s to 145GH/s with my Mercury with 0.98.1
However I did not apply the all cores enabled bin. Should I? I never have before.
