OMG! I stayed up all night till just a few moments before 3am here(2pmSweden) and passed out for 5 mins...to find them sold out!
Hahahahahaha....I knew they would fly fast.... but WOW
That sucks. I didn't wake right away to my alarm for Avalon batch 1 at midnight my time. I was like 50 minutes late, but was still able to order since their webstore fell over so badly at first. Well I hope that was not a case of your good luck was bad luck and like so many you did not get your orders... Cheers!

Funny how some people think that somehow since they couldn't "Win the race" buying up the upgrade boards, that KNC still owes them something.... or they got treated unfairly...... Total B.S. You snooze, you loose..... I did. i didn't snooze man, i ordered right at 8am.... the payment system they used had its flaws "They used"....Bitpay! There just is no better system. lol I'd be pissed off too, but really these sorts of things were bound to be mad-rush-batshit-crazy and you needed to have everything ready to go. ASIC-K I feel your pain mate really, but it wouldn't have mattered if you hadn't got a 404, if you had got through to the bitpay page and got your code you didn't have your bitcoins ready to transfer for at least 10 minutes by your own admission, the bitpay code would have expired in that time. I mean how long did you expect them to wait for someone to pay? If they had done it by holding the order as soon as you added it to your basket, loads of people(competitors,shills,speculators,on-thefencers,whatever) could have tied up the orders and then just not paid. Then there would be people pissed off about that. They couldn't really win. But it sucks you didn't get yours, and Phoenix1969 man.. I can't believe you missed out. Too much hittin the pipe last night?

If UPS doesn't lose them...
Haha yeah, I take comfort in the fact that by missing the buy window I avoided having to deal with UPS again. I thought they'd fired UPS and moved to some other courier. When I did after massive run-arounds manage to get my unit from UPS I told the clerk in the depot I hoped I'd never see her again, at least not at work. Hopefully I won't. -MarkM- I think they had more problems with DHL than with UPS especially international orders. Maybe they should offer DHL or UPS depending on preference.

There just is no better system. lol Well that's bad news! rotflmao Dude.... can you imagine how many miners were hitting that page at that moment? That's like a DDOS attack wave of legit purchases.... This is the very first time, ever, in the history of the world, that this has happened to any miner manufacturer.... think about it.... We are treading in uncharted territory. There are bound to be weak points; and KNC can't be held responsible for Bitpay's server's ping status. ALSO... ERROR 404 could have been shown to you by Bitpay because KNC were already sold out, or over-pinged as well. I wish I was able to buy a few.... oh well... This is a very competitive venue. edit...Biffa... No, alone in a huge empty house tryin' to stay awake to 3am....ug. maybe that would have helped... lol I knew I should have set an alarm....won't happen again, I assure you!

They sold 200+ units at $950/ea ( + probably a share of shipping that was 'too DAMN high' ) in 3 minutes. $200,000 revenue is a nice win for 3 minutes work.

This UPS box Could hold 4 upgrade modules and does not cost more than $75 USD to ship so why is KNC charging $206 to ship two board etc? Because: A: They made a mistake and refunds will follow B: They decided to make some extra money on top by overcharging for delivery. Let's see which one it is I like the think the best of everyone, but I am going to go with Answer B for $100 Alex!

I guess a lot of people are new to bitcoin payment processors. I even had to change PC's in the middle of my purchase because my desktop pc refused to open the cart/checkout buttons on KNC. I had my laptop open and logged into KNC and MtGox simultneously and completed my purchase from there without a hitch.
Step 1. Buy bitcoins ahead of time. Step 2. Redundancy. Expect the mad rush or unexpected browser crash, have your laptop, phone or tablet as backup. Step 3. Use the direct payment wallet address provided, don't use the stupid payment button at the bitpay checkout. Xfer the exact amount provided from your wallet immediately.

exactly..use the address, never the button. I had Firefox and IE both open on kncpage just in case one didnt work.. and I am surprised people don't have a few BTC in BTCe sloshing around for kicks and ready to fire off for things like this and remember, even if you are 100% prepared, shit can still happen and you lose anyway
