no one understand why pay 13k and now is 10k
kidding with our money
Because -- boxes delivered later are worth less because they will mine less coin. The selling price is wet by KNC as to be representative of what they will accomplish. They are not doing a normal markup/margin. As I pointed out, there are only two batches. First batch priced at 10k (existing customers only). And then the second batch priced at 13k to be delivered 30 days later (which has now mysteriously dropped to 10k). They are in fact charging 3k extra (to those who bought in early December) for something to be delivered 30 days later. Actually the first batch which cost 10k and 13k are the same batch 1 units. KNC just gave their customers a break on the price. Batch 2 is what is currently being sold to everyone for 10k. So if you weren't already a KNC customer when the batch 1's came out and you paid 13k well that's too bad for you! But not to worry you'll have your Neptune a lot sooner than I will have my Batch 2 rig, so what's big deal? Oh yeah, it is two batches and 3 batches within those two. My mistake. KNC go back and rewrite their newsletters so often, it's hard to keep up So their "Second Batch" is their third batch, which is all very clear. I know a lot of people bought with the mindset they could get a refund any time they want, because knc promised that. But knc are such despicable liars, they retrospectively removed this "promise" from their newsletters after customers bought. I just find it amazing how much lies and greed and contempt for customers knc show and people are still willing to give them their money. It's never going to end well. I know when I bought, the only people offering advice in this thread were shills, giving biased bs, pretending they were unbiased. I guess I'm just sick of that and offer the other side, even though I get so much abuse from the shills for doing it. Also, I'll feel no guilt at all about laughing when the knobtuners are getting first degree burns in Q2/Q3/Q4. Lot's of "I told you so's" on the horizon It's a real simple wallet test for me. Would I go to the bathroom and leave my wallet at the table if knc were there? Nope. On an ongoing basis, they prove how rotten they are. I would not trust them with another dollar, on the basis of my dealings with them in the past and the way they operate. Don't believe me, you are welcome to believe whatever you want regarding knc. But things are not always as they seem If you hate Knc so much why do you continue to buy product from them? Compared to BFI, Avalon-ASIC, and HF they seem to be doing a much better job. Sure there going to be people to have their problems or disagreements but that's how life is in general. I think if you really dislike them than I would recommend when you get your Neptune from them that your turn around and sell it or auction it, then go with BFI or HF so that you're a happy camper! why you talk netptune if not exist
the comparison is with jupiter
Or why talk at all if you can't speak proper English? Well for starters the Jupiter doesn't do 1.2TH/s and it's not for sale anymore, so why compare the Jupiter if it no longer exists? Where as the Neptune is their current mining rig that is for sale and in development/manufacture. Why compare something from the past when you should be comparing things to the present?

Question about the "common information" page when you log onto Kncminer.com and click "my account" it asks you for your wallet id, mining pool, and your user and worker ID, what exactly is this for?
Thanks

Whynot just buy coins instead of doing a bank wire? A lot easier.
It's not that easy to deposit money in an exchange to buy bitcoin. A wire us much less difficult. I personally just buy mining gear with the coins I earn. If I don't have enough coin, then I don't buy. I log in to coinbase, input how much I want to buy and press a button. Within 2-3 days (quicker depending on verification level) it's in my wallet. What's easier is buying from the BTC I have, and using the Coinbase amount to resupply. Baddabing, you're done. Instant transfer, just the way BTC was meant. So yeah, it really is that easy. I suppose if you use other exchange methods perhaps it's more difficult. Hmm, maybe I need to try Coinbase! I've only ever used BTC-e and MtGox.

If you fill in this info they will setup your miner so it can mine as soon as you turn it on, using the info you provided. It worked for me when I got my November jupiter.

I don't think you've read anything I've written if you think I've bought a neptune. If I do buy any more mining equipment, it certainly won't be from the Swedish bitcoin mafia. It's a shame there isn't a german manufacturer of bitcoin hardware. They have a favourable attitude to bitcoin and always high quality engineering.

Oh good, Avenger came back to whine some more..
Helmax, I still don't understand anything you say. If you don't like knc, don't buy knc. Go buy Hashfast, for something that may ship in a few months, and the only evidence being a single eligius account now mining at 1.3 th. Yeah, I believe that when me shit turns purple and smells of rainbow sherbert...

How long does it take Knc to process orders? What does a processed order look like in comparison to one that is still being processed or waiting payment?
I placed an order for a Neptune today (B2) and paid through bitpay (clicking on their payment link), I have the payment info from bitpay, but on their website it's not clear what the status is of my order. LOL
Thanks

I'm sorry for asking, but I can't keep up with this thread... But so now there's a third batch of Neptunes back at $10k? What is the definitive timeline on releases for these? Neptune 1.0 ($10k), then 2 weeks later Neptune 2.0 ($13k), then Neptune 3.0 ($10k)? It all seems a bit screwy.
Again, I'm sure this has been covered, sorry for asking.

There has only been 2 versions of the Neptune's thus far, batch 1 and batch 2. Batch 1 was offered to Knc Miner's customers ONLY initially at 10k, then 30 days later the same unit was offered to everyone else for $13k. As things have progressed in the bitcoin hardware manufacture Knc for whatever reason decided to lower the price on the batch 2 units to $10k. When you bought your new car, and months later the price dropped did you ask the dealership to reimburse the difference? I hope not!

Thanks for the response smoothrunnings -- I'd just figured that the second batch had sold out but apparently that was not the case. It's curious that this one says definitively Q2. Hopefully the first batch still has the Q1/Q2 designation. Who knows what difficulty will be like once we get there.
