Bitstamp's open
Yes, I've logged in, and it really feels a bit more responsive than the old site. Too bad it costed 19,000 BTC to move.

Multi-sig * With the integration of BitGo multi-sig technology, Bitstamp is now the first and only major bitcoin exchange to incorporate the industry's best security practices available today. This is good. I'm looking forward to learning about how this works. My suspicion is that it's only multisig on their side, which would be bullshitting. Commission-free trading * As a note of thanks to our loyal customers, all transactions conducted on Bitstamp through the end of the North American Bitcoin Conference -- January 17th (at 11:59pm UTC) -- will be commission-free. This is bullshitting. With fees of up to 0.5%, to stay competitive, they need to cut them permanently.

Bitstamp's open
Yes, I've logged in, and it really feels a bit more responsive than the old site. Too bad it costed 19,000 BTC to move. At least they got some "free" press from all of this. Hopefully that helps with the loss. Also, I hope and pray this site is more secure. A few days is not a very long time to make an entirely new site.

So, who actually did what they said they would when the price dropped below the 300$ mark, how many BTC did you buy? I'll start, I bought 15 at 290$. Why did you or did you not buy? And did you intend to buy before the price actually dropped, and why if so, did you change your mind?
I had the funds ready exactly for this purpose, as a long term investment. It was the amount of money I could "gamble/do without", so I will not sell those along with the rest of my Bitcoins in my long term wallet. I have a price in mind when I would sell.
I continue to buy and spend on a smaller basis, just because I love using Bitcoin and to show ease of use to people I know, i'm going on holiday next week to Asia and I am going to find places such as bars or grocery stores that accept Bitcoins just for the fun of paying with it. Never spend any Bitcoin in a physical store.
Very interested in your replies!

Free trading for 8 days?
Almost enough to get me to open an account there.
Too bad the banking week is almost over here.

I bought some (@$280). I was very relieved too because my husband sold some while I was on a mission trip to India. :/ I was upset he sold a substantial amount of our holdings but then had to humbly admit he was right at selling some at $380. I really hate saying he is right.
