Pfrtlpfmpf does not have anywhere near 80BTC on Poloniex that he was lending at 5%, because it is very likely that he was lending more than 1 day to earn 4BTC.

Possibility acknowledged. I may have misunderstood pfrtlpfmpf's statement.

YEP!!!!!

Exactamente!!!!

By the way the interest rates have dropped like a stone, and no one seems to want to borrow BTC anymore.   Cry Cry

No, seriously, i had around 100 bitcoin there, with 5 percent, call me crazy !
For the record, they are not there anymore (almost), and i have 3  Smiley factor authentication enabled, they require me to come in person.
For the hackers out there, don´t bother, you will loose a tooth, or two.
And my password is 150 chars long. (you need a password-manager, guys)

Godammit, I'm such a chicken...
Bought BTC at 2682 at first dip yesterday. Sold it at 2650 during the big second dip. Now BTC is at 2720 as planned... when I bought the BTC yesterday.

Get in while you still can. I have a feeling that this pump isnt anywhere near its end yet.

Bitcoin is just too complex (yet) to get it properly sold to the masses.

Isn't there also a very deep psychological aspect for something to be accepted as money ?

Gold is very simple and shiny.

Bitcoin ?

Oh no... my free money

Hmmm, I wasn't quick enough either. I'll sell next pump.

I thought that your BCH was in a paper wallet?

How you get BCH so quickly, and how you get BCH in a location in which you can sell them?  What's your secret?

Almost like rewinding history under another fork?

Kind of but not quite.

History rhymes but does not repeat.

We cannot go back, exactly.   Cry

Even though we are supposed to talk about bitcoin here, BCH seems a fair topic, too... and also bitcoin seems to be the future... and hopefully BCH ends up being a flash in the pan.. and a lesson of what not to do.. but I know that BCH is probably not going away and probably not even going below .05BTC... we gonna have to live in the world of the coinsplit.

so anyone out there think that we'll have to wait until November for ATH conditional on the 2x block size going ahead?

I think that 2x is both unnecessary and unable to reach consensus, but it seems that there is going to be another attempt at a hardfork with supposedly only 80% .. but not sufficient to lock in, so another rogue fork, perhaps.

I have been lending since May. 9000BTC is not that high, around 15000BTC was the norm before the last couple of weeks. The rates are crazy low right now though, probably because trading activity is down.

Still have 7BTC lent at 3-5%.

1JafzAyfA4EQ2AGo6QptS5ggzUbFARE3m6 : BTC on that address has been spent long ago, it was empty on 1st August, so it's empty now, no BTC and no BCC.

....... soooooo

Bitfinex has now enabled margin trading for BCH

But not opened up deposit wallets yet

Cannot help but still think this is pump and dump and dump and dump.

These closed loop exchanges are messing with the price discovery- eliminating arbitrage opportunity
and simultaneously benefiting those with coins on the exchanges - those that wished to do so have been able to sell their BCH or part of. In fact the wave up and correction on Finex gave many a chance to almost double their BCH
in a day- and this ain't over yet.

It's gotta get messy when they open deposit wallets on the exchanges.

Crazily enough - I have heard of people that stayed in fiat during the fork- and
then after fork bought BTC and BCH- mental.

Yes, many people that started purchasing BCH made some easy profits. I sold my BCH on kraken for 175 euro a piece... never expected it to get up to 600 euro's the next day Roll Eyes

Yeah - so far I have had fun with my airdrop coin..

Now that margin trading is open - the temptation to load up on collateral on finex
and go short BCH - at its next pump- in time for when they open deposit wallets - is VERY a very strong temptation even though I rarely go short - this maybe one of those rare occasions TBH - contemplating it.
