Total value of old coins (including forkcoins) is $8653USD/$11038CAD (Coinmarketcap).

The total might be an ATH. The forkcoins have increased the value more than the dip from the Bitcoin ATH has diminished it.

Looks like Segwit2x futures on Yobit are going CCMF

Yeah, S2X/BTC on Yobit reach parity @1.000 with around 200 BTC volume.  Sounds totally legit.

They are pumping that Bitcore BTX thing over at that some what sketchy Bit-Z exchange, now at 4 mbtc.  Suppose to list at HitBTC soon too.  I am not bothering with it for now.  But one of old Legendary mention it on the thread before and BTX crew did a new snapshot on Nov. 2 too.  So people got some free BTX coins.

Also one of the supposedly biggest BTC hodler in China, Li Xiao Lai, is launching his own fork SBTC http://www.supersmartbitcoin.com/index.html .  "Make Bitcoin Great Again."  
He got a handle on Bitcointalk from 2011~2 and posted regularly.  But I couldn't be bothered to look it up now.  He stated that he had 100K + BTC back in 2013, like that FriedCat erupter dude.  No clue how much BTC he has now.

Honestly all these forks are giving me headaches now.  I am thinking of not bothering with them until they go above 0.05 BTC each or if they go bonker like that weekend BCH pumps.  

I had no idea about that BTX thing, I found it in my list of coins in my Coinomi wallet, I'll try yo claim them tonight, thanks.

So since the start of 2017, 380+ new shitcoins have been added to the list (as tracked by coinmarketcap.com). The list went from ~900 to ~1281 cryptocurrencies. And 6581 "markets", whatever the hell that means.

So Bitcoin's % dominance as tracked there is not being 'eroded' by other alts supposedly taking market share away. It's being eroded % wise because of all the shitcoins merely being added to the ever growing list.

In other words, just by virtue of adding a new shitcoin to the list, Bitcoin's % market share of the total is shown to go down. Because the individual fiat market caps of each new shitcoin added are fakery. Complete bullshit.

A more accurate way to track % and total market share would be to restrict the list to say the top 500 by market share, and anything below that gets taken completely off the list.
