Hackney and Shoreditch are all Teslas and wine bars. I assume you mean further out.
If you want to complain about London, complain about Brexit. Now there’s a fuck up of mass proportions. All the work is going to Dublin and Frankfurt.

I don't have any real issues with Brexit. The EU is a very recent development that was pretty much imposed on the people of Europe, which unlike the EU has existed for hundreds of years. If people don't like the EU, then fuck it. That's what democracy means. Not that I'm a fan of democracy since all the wrong people get to vote on matters that they haven't studied rigorously enough to even begin having a basic grasp on them, but alas, we supposedly live in democracies.

Brexit is all based on racism. All the old farts down at the golf club don’t like seeing foreigners in Sainsburys. And Polish plumbers work twice as hard as the English, so if you are a fat lazy fuck then it’s harder to get a job.
Meanwhile if you are trying to run a business, good luck as the UK starts making up different standards than Europe just for the sake of being different, meaning you now have to comply with both standards.

By 'they', do you mean the politicians? Because the people in a democracy are many steps removed from getting to vote on anything directly or meaningful. They only get to vote on the idiot candidates they are served and have to then trust.

I didn't think London was a part of Britain? Thought they had their own little exclave down there? You seriously didn't think the capital of England was part of Britain? EDIT: spelling error.

London is outside of the Republic of London on this map makes at least as much sense as a bunch of the lines we drew in the middle East in 1919

Or maybe he means City of London, I have seen some conspiracy sites claim that it's not a part of Britain (it is). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_London

Recently, fiat settled derivatives are one of my pet worries. There is no proof that they actually did much real damage by themselves yet: some reasonable sounding opinions argue that it's more of a psychological thing, like metaFUD/metaFOMO. These opinions sound reasonable on the basis of the numbers reported. Volume on futures was - is! - too low to harm seriously (although, with the underlying bitcoin market as thin as it is now, nothing is impossible).
However, if Soros and other big players are really getting into the cornfield, it's going to be tough play. I really hope the SEC approves some ETF, but backed by actual bitcoin, stored in blockchain addresses known to the public.
Along the same lines, futures and similar derivatives should be entirely bitcoin-backed. "For delivery", as they say, since delivering bitcoin is as easy as can be. BY doing so, you can push and pull the market only according to how many coins - not dollars - you hold. You can probably push/pull a bit further than that, because exchanges are quick to kiss the right ass, but when you finally have to deliver, you have to buy or sell actual bitcoin. Let the markets (and the unavoidable slippage) do the rest.

Market history shows that it is safer to short in an established bear market, than at or near ath's. After a 70% drop, another 70% drop is more likely, not less. Nearly everyone would think it was the other way around. Not specific to Crypto, just actual history. Whether the 'investors' will be right or wrong, I cannot tell.

Agreed. The future or an ETF are only a proxy for investors who cannot take reponsibility for their own holdings. Unlike Gold or Stock derivatives, I can see no effective transfer mechanism for the derivative price to significantly affect the actual traded price of BTC.
